Works been busy.
The 2000 era parts are getting fewer and fewer - in good quality anyway so pretty happy just to sit on my stash and enjoy driving it when I can - it's always a blast to drive it again after the Liberty !!!!

I see you went the DFV route as well Gigs - good choice ;-)

yeah those dfv's are great - I went through a lot of sets before settling on those and have been happy for years - although at some point in time I guess I'll have to pull them out and take them back to Japan one trip for an overhaul.

still got these little gems to sort out and put on - STI motorsport full carbon GDA/B mirrors only problem i'm yet to work out is they are fixed and I have the motor folding mirrors and I'd hate to hit them or have someone to hit them .....

Converting them to folding might be possible, biggest hurdle is fully depinning the the plug to pull the wiring through...

Yeah I'm not worrying about the wiring as I don't want to make them powered but it's more about pulling them apart without breaking bits - I have a set of non power spec c bug mirrors that fold and will use those internal parts but just need to do some dismantling without breaking something as I'll never find another set probably.

Such a clean build man, looks like it should have come from the factory like that. Makes me want to go to the sedan rears on my wagon.

no mate, Type RA rebuild, white sedan to go with the white wagon ;-)

It only has 44,000 KM's (27,000 miles) so it's going into a AU delivered STI shell I have - so I can register it here

I want to take it back to original condition but like the owner ticked all the STI options he could (or at least all the STI parts that I have accumulated)

Oh I can't wait to see that

I have been debating all sorts of stupid builds and replica track cars recently

It will be awesome to see an RA restored

I had been thinking about doing something like this for a while, the wagon is more of an aftermarket parts build but wanted to do this one as an up-specd oem build.

This is what I'm seeing it like (except it's a peanut)

I figure it's a good place to use the S202 rims, wing and oil cooler along with other STI parts I've amassed.

looking forward to getting back on the build horse again !!!!

was up where the RA is last week and got a bit more of the dismantling done. Probably won't be able to anymore for a while now due to lock downs and it being 1000km's away from home.

Three years late but no I had Ohlins PCVs 7k/5k and they were a tad soft for my 3170 pound car.

Currently on some RCE 1 Way KW shocks , Hoping to pickup some MCS 1 Way motorsports shocks in the near future

So a few lockdown updates

My mate Kris @ Rising Sun Subaru pulled a bit more out of the cut

I did some JDM archeology on the hard metal turbo intake pipe and found in my collection of Impreza Magazines and Hyper Rev volumes

* this is the stash minus the buy-eye volumes 9-21 that I've kept at home

this is the the intake pipe and it was pretty expensive new !!!!

And here's a write up when the RA was released

so thats it for now, hopefully this thing clears up so I can at least get back up there to keep working on it
