From the files of Capt Obvious = people can track CV indoors on the soles of their dirty shoes.

So glad I was raised in an Asian household and we leave our shoes at the door.

We did a test with 5 popular brands. Can't remember if we used Kleenex or not.

None of them broke down in water. One sample set we forgot we had and found them 7 years later and the wipes were still intact.

Garbage disposal in the shower drain? Potato masher comes in handy too.

We pump up to a sewer line. The grinder pump is a very big, very heavy pump (maybe 40 lbs?) that sits in a buried basin in the yard, grinds up any solids in the gray water from the house and pushes it up the hill to the sewer line.

The old one failed after 20+ years this summer, so I was shop-vaccing out sewage from the basin for a week waiting to have a new one installed (to the tune of $5k ).

I must have dumped hundreds of gallons of gray water into the yard over that week...but the bushes are looking lovely this spring, so I've got that going for me.

Same. Kept seeing all these "LIFE HACK!"-type posts a few weeks ago telling people to take off their shoes while inside the house to prevent the spread of CV and other germs. Like no **** - you wear your shoes all day outside walking through god knows what and then come home and plop them up on the couch cushions, what do you think is going to happen? Even without COVID-19 that's just disgusting.

I knew there was reason I've always lived places with municipal sewer...

Not needing to know the various euphemisms for 'poop water' is definitely high on the list.

I'm going to have a sewer backup now, aren't I?

There's a Jeffery Epstein joke in there somewhere. But I'm not entirely sure it's appropriate.

I honestly couldn't tell if that post was a joke or not, seeing as how there's now a chickenpox vaccine and all.

Disease 'parties' are best left to the domains of history, and idiot anti-vaxxer FB mom groups.

I see no wheels on the heel, so it's not even the worst invention in shoes this century

If you get Covid from opening a Corona with your shoe, is that meta-coronavirus?
