Why this thread all together? It is a useless thread and even a more usless question. Peoples answers will give you nothing. Some one can drive a blow up a eng in the first 5k miles. Then another person a 60 y/o grandma can drive a STi and it can last for 150k miles.

My Number 4 spun at 110k, Stage 2 OTS map, Invidia DP.

Probably a coincidence but it spun the one I used 5-30 instead of 5-40

147k 2009 Impreza GT with minimal oil consumption. Oil pump seal was replaced with timing belt during a massive leak around 85k miles.

Can't respond to poll. Haha. Turbo Baja with 220k on the original engine / trans and still very strong.

Mostly OEM everything. **** gets replaced when it wears out. Easily good for another 100k+

I have wondered about this also, and I think I created/contributed to a thread for logging failures, so we would all know more or less what the average part life span for this engine/platform.

06 WRX, 195K miles, stock engine with many mods, stock turbo, Stage 2 Cobb map

Head gasket blew after overheating at 140K miles (damn OEM radiator). Have a Koyorad rad now, works great. Put in some Barr's HG copper sealer and it has worked for 50K miles, as long as I stay out of boost (pushing coolant into overflow tank).

I have a massive oil leak (my guess is the turbo) about 1 qt every 500-1000 miles. Evident oil leak from rocker cover gasket on passenger side (and a bit on driver side).

Other than that it runs fantastic, I get compliments and I've been using E30 every now and then.
