when you look at the front head on, the square grill looks weird. At angles, it doesn't seem so bad. Would need to see in person to fully judge though, definitely the type of characteristic that would be exacerbated in photos.

To me it's the material and contrasting color they used that's weird. The silver gray highlight doesn't work well. If it were all black it would disappear.

This is true and I fully admit to having a negative bias towards the brand and I'm one of those people that has owned almost every brand over his lifetime and generally never sticks with a brand yet just can't go there. I wouldn't buy one of these even if it was priced the same as a BRZ even if the performance is inline with an M2 or Supra. I don't like the brand, their vehicles, their tech, or anything since the 90's outside of the Infinity G35 Coupes which had some of the best exterior design of its era. It's like Alfa Romeo's where I may appreciate the car's performance but barring a gun to my head I'm simply not dropping cash at one of their dealerships.

Looks like it is wearing braces. Yuck. Still find this more compelling than the Supra and want this to be a success.

"This morning, Nissan sent out emails to us saying reservations for the Ariya are currently in motion," the source wrote in a Facebook post. "This is a big deal due to the new Z being the next car to be rolled out by Nissan. As it currently stands, this isn't confirmed but we should expect Z reservations to begin sometime after January 3rd."

With the order books opening at the start of 2022, we should find out pricing details for the Nissan Z very soon. Rumors suggest the Nissan Z will start at around $35,000, which could put a dent in the more expensive Toyota GR Supra's sales.

As standard, the Nissan Z is powered by the same 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 found in the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport producing 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque paired with a six-speed manual transmission or an optionally available nine-speed automatic transmission.

Performance specifications haven't been released yet but Nissan says the new Z will be 15 percent quicker than the outgoing 370Z, which will hit 0-60 mph in five seconds. As a result, the Nissan Z should be able to do the same sprint in around 4.3 seconds.

I'm glad the Z still exists and that people are excited for it because it's probably what has motivated the persistent rumours of the Supra finally getting a manual.

Not surprised, I've seen a stock camry destroy a modified VA STi.

Seriously though, excited to see the 400z in production trim in person.

I've never thought of the STI as a highway-pulling, straightline beast, so I guess I'm not surprised at all. Especially with the whimpering redline. Twin-turbo V6, RWD sports car better pull on an STI, otherwise we're all in trouble.

This is exactly what came to my mind when I first saw this. The front lower bumper is much better than what they showed originally.

The fender arches might be plastic here but they are simple and paint matched.

Even the large amount of black on the rear bumper is better executed, imo.

Just waiting for the "Rally Heritage" fanbois to crash Nissan's party.

But the Z is not a Rally car so it doesn't need that sort of cladding.
