Default Behold........(tell me what you think!!)

It's been awhile since my last project update, so I figured I'd unleash a couple more pics for everyone and get some opinions on my little project. So, tell me what you think.

Looks good Mike. You still a redliner? Are you the only one out there? Almost makes me want a WRX too.

Yyup, still a redliner, director of the west coast chapter, but its tough to find people with the same passion I have and that are good people in general, so we're branching out slowly, but surely. Plus, I'm just super busy with my career now and trying to be "grown up."

Anyways, thanks for the compliments.

I think we have Suby of the week (months) here.

I like the way you have done some subtle painting of the area next to the mirror & the whole front facia.

Best wagon by FAR!

Hahaha.......I was waiting to see how long it would take for someone to notice the mirror area painted......good eyes my friend!!

Don't think the Suby of the Month is gonna happen.......I had that title once already about 3 or 4 Subies back!! It would be nice to be the first 2-time winner though!! Thanks for your vote.

Maybe some of the Midwest guys do......but if it's not real carbon fiber, it won't touch my car!! It's gotta be authentic to be on the car

Yes, its the carbon/ti exhaust, and that is really a subjective question. IMO, you aren't going to find much difference between the exhausts as far as power goes when it comes to the catbacks. 80mm is 80mm and there is always the argument that the 2.5" performs just as well at most peoples' power levels. The gains are to be had in the downpipe and before. It's more about the look that you like when it comes to the catbacks. I happen to love the sound, nice and deep, not intrusive at all, and I just love the crooked look of the JDM exhausts. I believe it was worth it and the quality is excellent.

Get back to me in a couple weeks!! It's all going in as we speak!! My Unichip is on its way back from TurboXS right now, but here is what it is programmed for:

Unichip
PE1820
STI injectors
PE fuel pump
Blitz SUS Intake
Cusco Downpipe
Vishnu Up-pipe
HKS Carbon/Ti exhaust
Vishnu UD pulley
Apexi AVC-R

Those are the basics I think!! Should make for quite the wagon sleeper if it can be considered sleeper at all anymore!!

Default sweet wagon

Mike~

All I gotta say is that your wagon is kick @ss! But that would be an understatement! Anways, I really like all of your accents of carbon fiber (all in the right places). Also, the things that you had painted after accident (the plastic thing over the bumper beam and the side mirrors) looks really good. Overboosting - what an awesome license plate! What happened to your defi gauge pod (i remember you having one at HIN) ?. Anways, I want to hear about engine mods/plans. Awesome...

I ditched the Defi guages because they were white face and as you can see, the rest of my scheme is all black, so I am switching to either the new black face ones or possibly the new Blitz meter series. I will be putting in the order this week and hope to have the car ready for the April 6th show at the Cow Palace.

As for engine plans go, I'll purchase an FMIC for it soon and Shiv's fuel system upgrade, then I will chill for awhile and see how I like it before digging into the internals maybe 9 months to a year from now.

Question

what kind of front bumper is that? it looks -like- stock, but on the vents to the sides of the fogs, you don't have the three holes - just one ... is it a modified stock bumper or a totally new one? looks great, btw!

It is stock, its just all painted and those vents on the sides are just one of the small little differences between the wagons and sedans. You get the 3 holes, whereas we get one!! I didn't even pick up on that until about a month or two ago.

well, wouldn't you know it. i just dug up my wrx brochure (of course i still have it!), and i'll be darned i never noticed that before, either. i really like how it looks ... almost more than mine, even though i'm sure the 3 holes are meant to be 'sportier' or something. (grass is greener, i guess!)

again - beautiful car! any thoughts about a rear waist spoiler? oh yeah - crooked exhausts rock!
