![]() Just figured my car was running like crap because of the pee-water gas out here. Octane boost is helping a ton but I'd rather mix with some good gas.
Do you guys know of any stations in Scottsdale or North Phoenix that are selling high octane?

![]() For the most part, all we get in the West is 91. We lost our 92 octane. You'll have to buy the expensive stuff.

![]() Last time I was there (Nov) it was about $4.75 a gallon.... though if you do a search in the AZ forum on "race gas" you'll find that thread....

![]() Yeah, there's a chevron on the southwest corner of elliot and warner, where I live, that has a 92 octane sticker on only 1 of the 8 individual pumps. Must have been a mistake. *shrugs*

![]() A lot of Chevron's around the valley have 92 octane but since it's always the same price as their 91, I'm hesitant to believe it's anything more than marketing or a mistake. Who knows.

![]() Damm James, you dredged up an oldie...
anyway, it's been so long since the change-over that the Arizona Department of Weights and Measures, who "routinely samples and tests the quality of motor fuels at retail service stations to ensure that the gasoline meets state and federal standards...(which) includes testing the octane levels posted at the pump." would surely have caught a problem. Maybe Chevron trucks it in from somwhere else. Or they blend it with 100/101... |

![]() Just have Sunoco Race Fuels deliver a 55gal. barrel of whatever octane you want to your house! I personally have them deliver Sunoco Gt Plus 109 unleaded. Its like $300 and thats including delivery.
