Default Popular Downpipes

I've been looking for a downpipe, and it seems like everybody makes one, and I couldn't find a list of who they were, so I made one.

If you see any inaccuracies / broken links please reply or PM.

If I missed a dp (or if I've listed a dp that is no longer available), please reply or PM and I will update the list.

I would like to thank the vendors for the pics, if you have an issue with me linking to a picture, please PM and I will find another one.

Prices are what I found searching around for the pics. No, I don't remeber where I saw the price for XYZ downpipe.

On length: Shorty means it replaces the stock downpipe only (leaving the 3rd cat). Full systems replace the stock dp and the 3rd cat.

If you don't know what a downpipe is, go to the Downpipe FAQ

Thanks for the index, it will help a lot of people!

Changes though:

HKS is a flat plate
ScoobySport is 2.5"
You might want to explain the difference between full and shorty
APS has two types 3.0" and 3.5"

The TurboXS unit is actually 4" at the bell mouth tapering down to 3" for the cat and then tapering again to 2.5" for the axleback.

Good job on the chart!

I love my PDE DP

You can tell the second you open the box that it is a HIGH quality well crafted work of ART!

No CEL and it installs perfectly with no installation issues at all!

Oh, just thought of another one!

Godspeed

And in defense of the listing for TurboXS's unit, many downpipes start off bigger than 2.5" or 3". Their turboback finishes at 2.5", but their downpipe is 3".

I added Godspeed and Invidia. Not much info on the Godspeed...it looks like a flat plate, but I couldn't find any descriptions.

I changed the Turbo XS to 3", because that is the diameter of the cat. It starts at 4", necks down to 3" for the cat, then an adapter to 2.5" at the end. Since many pipes do the same thing...I went with the middle number.

I think APS used to make a one-piece DP. Now they only make a 3-piece unit with the cast turbo outlet that is on their full TBE.

The APS is technically a split bellmouth, though in truth, it is actually a "mutt" downpipe. It is a small cast piece that fits into a straight pipe. It's really a 2 piece downpipe.

Godspeed's downpipe is a bellmouth. It also replaces both cats so it is a "long" downpipe. It is a 3" unit.

fliz: You might want to change the Turbo XS to show that it can be had with or without a cat. It also doesn't fit stock pipes except the muffler.

Also add the Buschur Racing pipes.

Buschur Racing Bellmouth 3" Full N $325 Y
Buschur Racing Flat Plate 2.5" Full Y $400 Y

I must have a very early APS DP or somthing (It came with the APS club spec's turbo back)...It is a casted big ol' bellmouth with nothing hiding in there. I am 99.9% positive of this.

Fliz, It is a 3-piece too.

Added the Buschur.

The TurboXS DP I listed is from their site...says it mounts (with adapter) to any catback. It's only available w/o a cat (as opposed to the stealth-back).

Old-school APS !

I never even knew they made the cast piece w/o a splitter, although I've known a few people who took it out because it was causing problems with aftermarket turbos.

I updated the link to the 3.5" APS. It appears that the 3" is 3 piece, and the 3.5" is 2 piece. Their website shows flow rates for the 3.5" with a cat, but I'm not sure where it would go.

I was just told by an APS dealer that the original design was a bellmouth.

I found you a link for the old school APS exhaust.Link

I thought APS used to make a more "traditional" downpipe configuration than what they have now. I had no idea it was a cast piece, though.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that the link I gave was the ancient (2001 model) TBE with the 1 piece DP and dual tip axleback. I believe it is the one you initially mentioned.

However mine is still the 3-piece designed DP with bellmouth which is the newer design (my TBE has the 2.5'' axleback with single resonator tip)...I couldn't find a link for it.
