2011 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited sedan
After an entire summer of borrowing cars and riding (and repairing) my bike, I FINALLY got my ride.
I'm glad I picked this summer to wait for a car, seeing as how the weather was particularly crappy this year. I don't usually take pics, so we'll have to rely on the pics that other people take for right now. Thanks, Charrons! As far as anyone's aware, this is the first and only 2011 WRX in Alaska. It's the first Dark Gray Limited sedan that I've seen sold on NASIOC, too. Everyone else is happy to get their WRX hatchbacks, but we all know what those look like already! Thanks to Alex (aka Grinder) with Continental Subaru for all the support in getting me exactly what I wanted in my first new car. Although I got to educate him on many aspects of the car, in the end he still schooled me on certain aspects of the car I didn't know existed (for once I have a car with remote trunk unlock). I will be posting pictures of the car in this thread as I get them, as well as updating you guys on driving experiences and modifications. Mods as of 9/5/10 (some factory installed): - kartboy shiftknob with black sticker - black tuner lug nuts - Infinity Reference 6022i front speakers - blue footwell illumination - SPT carbon fiber trunk trim - short throw shifter - SPT boost gauge - rear center console cupholders - auto-dimming mirror with compass - WRX Euro-style marque plate - black WRX license plate frame - WRX valve stem caps 600+ mile Review: I'm loving it so far! It fits me just right. I'm coming from a 2005 STI and 2008 Forester Sports XT and this car is right in the middle. The STI was fairly overkill for me while the Forester was underwhelming comparatively. I thought I was going to be disappointed, but I decided to take a chance anyways. It really just came down to practicality for me. I need a daily driver and weekend warrior much more than I need a car for rallyx and autox. I barely utilized the STi's potential concerning the DCCD. Honestly, I didn't even understand it at the time. I also didn't really care for the sixth gear. For me, if I would've got the 2011 STI it would've just been to show off, and the extra coinage per month really isn't worth the few extra "oooh"'s and "aaaahh"'s. I'm having a lot of fun breaking it in. I've seen the average MPG go from 15 to 18.6 now just in the past 10 days of driving. My shifting is kinda sloppy since I've had strict training on not riding the clutch, but I definitely have more fun when I do use the clutch a bit more. I find the seats to be VERY comfortable and convenient to clean off. I'm in love with the power sunroof and turbo whine. I'm not crazy about controlling my iPod via the head unit and the stock speakers are the worse-sounding I've ever heard. I've connected my phone via Bluetooth, but I hardly get calls while I'm driving, so it's not a big deal (plus, since my phone is a Garmin it has loudspeaker while mounted anyways). I'll continue to post updates as they arrive.

Well, unless your trade-in is REALLY nice, if I had a 2009 I probably wouldn't even bother. For me, I really wanted all-weather packaging with leather seats, a sunroof and adjustable HIDs. I say go for it if you want the creature comforts and plan on staying where it's cold. Otherwise trading up just for the body kit isn't really worth it. I do get 1mpg better than you, though. Thanks, btw!

Very, very, very nice car! I can't wait to see it in person. I'm so glad Subaru decided to give the WRXs the widebody treatment.
