Default Fleabay catback

I am sure you've all heard this one before. But I searched and couldnt find anything regarding this specific knockoff.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ht_3617wt_1167

It looks like a knockoff cobb, but im wondering if it at all sounds similar, or does it sound like all the other ebay exhausts? I'm skeptical about it sounding any different than other ebay exhausts, but I wanted to make sure.

Thank you in advance!
Joe

Even in their own pictures the welds look like crap. There is a reason exhausts are expensive.

I just read a 37 page review thread regarding this catback. I'm definately sold.

This debate is silly.

If I can purchase a shipped catback three times over for the cost of a more expensive one, then that point is moot. If your safety were relying on the piece, it would be a different story.

I've bought similar exhaust products from ebay for my other cars I had (turbo honda accord, turbo Acura CL) and the product I received was better than what it looked like in the pictures. I was pleasantly surprised when I got it in. I'd say go for it for that price. I might have to get one as well since I like my friends COBB. I have HKS right now, but I might want to switch from time to time. Still keeping the HKS for sure, though.

Interesting that the exhaust is for a 2002-2007 WRX/STi but the picture is of a 2008+ STi.

You sure they know which is which?

I have a similar (surewinproducts) exhaust. It's been very good to me so far.

Here's a video of it on my car with an ebay downpipe.

Ive had that exhaust on the car for a little over a year on NY roads, the welds are f'in fantastic for a 150 catback, fitment is spot on, **** even the hardware and gaskets are still rust/leak free. Sounds identical to the cobb, looks almost identical too. Its stood up to a catless system the whole time, cant beat it for 150 bucks.

I'm sorry but that kind of sounds like a farm tractor in neutral.

I had it. Fit was ok, not perfect. It's nothing like the cobb. It's really ****ing loud at anything but idle. Sold it. Think of it as a different shaped melon launcher.
