![]() what about engine movement? would't that brake things? (the MAF sensor part or the air box?) I would think that the stock rubber pipe going to the torque box is there for a reason. Any thoughts on that?

![]() Break things, first of all, you're not slowing them down.
The silicone coupler at the throttle body and at the MAF house provide enough flex. Especially if you use a bump coupler. |

Your hybrid air intake is a blessing in the sky. ![]() I just hope that someone will do a dyno test before and after. It would be nice to see those numbers to make your study a soild proof. Cheers! |

![]() I have an injen short ram setup. I recently did some logs of rpm v mafvolts and there is no evidence of the resonance early on, or at all. the maf v's look normal. is it possible this only applies to your brand of intake?

![]() No. You're about the 50th person to claim that they don't have the problem. Literally everyone has had the problem when they actually ran the test properly and posted results.

![]() williaty, this was probably already addressed but will an aftermarket air filter (k&n or perrin foam) affect the functioning of the hybrid set up, since it is before the MAF sensor?

![]() That is why i posted it. I havent had one problem with my cai. No cel's and noticable increase in top end compared to stock. So where does it say i cant post in contrast to the people that have problems with their cai's?

![]() OK, that makes you about the 51st person to claim they don't have a problem. The previous 50 have all had the problem when they actually tested correctly. What makes you think you're special?

![]() think you can give me a post number to refer to? And i i just read the beginning of the thread about how with the cai your running to rich due to your MAF misreading. Couldnt that be solved with a tune? I mean changing your air/fuel ratio through a tune would be correcting the misreads of air intake by the MAF wouldnt it. (i reflashed my ecu to run 91 or higher octane, would that even it out at all?)

![]() The first post talks about why the issue can't be solved with a tune.

![]() I can type it again quicker than I can find it.
1) Log RPM, MAFv, AFL#1, AFC#1, throttle opening angle %, CL/OL status 2) Get the car rolling and get it into 3rd gear 3) Take your foot off the gas with the car still in gear, let it slow down until it starts bouncing along at idle. 4) Stomp the gas to the floor and hold it there until about 4kRPM 5) Post the log. |
