ya, so if you have a 2.0 this is the way to go. Period.

You'll still need bigger injectors !

So i was looking the other day at turbos and found the blouch and really like it but I had also been tempted to go for this other turbo and wondered if anyone had any info on it. http://www.boostplanet.com/product1.htm The monster turbo with all the upgrades.

I thought that Deadbolt went out of business a few months ago. I'm surprised that their website is still alive. They used to have pretty good turbos, but I don't think they're a viable option any more.

Deadbolt is gone as of January 2009 I believe.

I got one of the last Monster TD04's from them. The Monster doesn't flow as much as the 19T. It's awesome for insanely fast spool and down low torque, but it runs out of steam in the higher RPM range.

Add me to the list of people who will be running this little gem of a turbo. Thanks to whomever discovered it and those who are currently using it and posting results. I'm excited to finally add a little power to the car without losing the quick response.

I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll make, but the stock donor I picked up last night happens to be a deadbolt monster td04. Probably won't change much considering Blouch will be doing some additional machining, but at least its high-temp coated and it was never installed in a car.

I would sell it...Monster TD04's can fetch a nice price. It might actually pay for most of your upgrade.

My 19T should be here today and a new TMIC is also on the way. If I'm ambitious enough I'll install these this or next weekend along with the pinks. I'll get up some results as soon as I can.

Isis - If I remember right, you're using 575 pink injectors correct? How are those handling the setup? Do you feel those are more than adequate or should you have gone with something more...say 650s?

BEFORE and AFTER dyno plots would be greatly appreciated

You really think it would sell for that much? I can't imagine anyone paying more than $300 for it since you can find used VF turbos for $500-700 and make more power.

Ceramic coatings and P&P work add to the value.

If I had the money I would definitely dyno before and after. Maybe Ill just use the iphone app for comparative purposes, obviously the numbers won't mean a whole lot.

A dyno tune isn't in my budget right now so I'm most likely ordering a clark turner map as he has tuned these before. But I do plan on getting protuned some day probably at speed industry near detroit.

Use the airboy's spread sheet dyno before and after. It would be a great comparison.

I sent an email to Clark a week ago asking about his opinion on 19T upgrade and if he would like to e-tune it... Let's just say he wasn't thrilled by the idea
He said something about wasting money and EVO3 16g...

I'm not sure if e-tune will be a good option. Unless you find a tuner who has experience with this kind of a setup. I'm going to upgrade BCS to GS 3-port at the same time I do the turbo swap which I think will make tuning even more far from ordinary.

Love to hear about tuners who tell you what you want is a waste of money rather than explain that he doesn't have an e-tune for it.

Seems like you would have a tuner local in NJ that could work on it.

TurboXS in MD has experience with the monster TD04 and stock TD04 tuning (UTEC obviously), but they do not e-tune.

I would try contacting Theshopct. Their tuner junior i think is from Jersey. Very cool guy and great tuner.

I'm in the process of learning romraider data logging so I feel confident that sending my logs back to clark will ensure a solid tune.

Just got the turbo back from blouch and Im very happy. It's in much better condition then when I sent it in, not sure if they hot tank it or not but it looks almost new. Also the play that was present when I sent it out is gone. I'm impressed so far, just need to get this thing on for some results.

Can you take more pictures of the inlets and outlets on the hotside? I'm assuming Blouch did some porting for you?

Where in MI are you? I've been logging and tuning my car with Romraider for a couple months now. I can help you look things over if you'd like.

Here's some shots of mine where Blouch did the porting...

I didn't request any porting so it just looks like a normal td04, I believe its 95 more to have it done. Now that I think about it, maybe I should have.

345 plus shipping. They really didn't tell me exactly what was done but obviously the 19T wheel install, new wastgate acuator clips (was missing them), cleaned to near new condition, and possibly some internal work.

I thought my drive sucked...I live in Madison Heights and work in Novi. My drive is within your's .

So...I put the Monster TD04 up for sale to see if I can make some money off it and cover the cost of the 19T upgrade. But as I looked at it last night and took pics I kinda fell in love with the porting job that was done. Not only is the outlet nice and smooth, but the inlet looks amazing. Tell me its right to save money and not use something this beautiful on my car!
