XanRules, as a new member of the club this is a great first post to read to see the expectations of communication throughout these forums. Rule number 1 is undoubtedly my favorite and I'm assuming the most commonly "broken"! It really is a simple rule that makes navigating forums/posts much easier.

When all else fails use bad grammar and too many periods. But really, it's pretty sad to know people like this exist. I think my only issue will be searching as you never know what to search for to come up with just the right post.

Anyway, I'm new here as well. Good read. The last post as for what not to do was quite the read. It feels almost intentional to act that way. I hope I fit in here. I'm hoping to sell some parts soon.

Well, it's good to see a little common sense can go a long way here.

Interesting read and good advice. It's nice that someone even took the time to put this all down.

I'm actually glad the site monitors for unrelated topics. It keeps the threads authentic.

Default Is there a place i can be hazed, or whatever it takes?

I just wanted to post a question, looking for advice / help with my '03 all stock WRX wagon. Damn, have I had to jump through hoops - first, resetting the password and all that I can't post a question until I have 3 legit replies (been registered for a long time, never posted & now I realize why - I can't) So can this count as a reply? Can I get hazed or something, whatever it takes, to be allowed to post questions? I am in a dilemma, I need my fellow Subie owners advice. Keep in mind, I am not a mechanic, or even well versed in it, so I am going to have a friend who is do the work. It is exhaust related (100% still stock at the moment) getting leaks & whatnot according to the muffler place that looked at it. I had them look at it to see if there were any pinhole leaks causing check engine light due to a a cat error. The price I was told to "patch" the exhaust was crazy - 850!!! Now I want to replace my exhaust completely (and not by them) I just need to pass emissions & get an inspection sticker, but I don't want to go stock again. Also, I have to keep this within my budget, which is cheap. That is why I still have a 14 year old car as my one & only, I'm poor. That is what working in graphic design gets you. But I do love my car, and would love to get it back to where it used to be, I dream of restoring it completely. I've read in other posts about replacing the up pipe with a catless one. So that is a start? What other advice dies anyone have. A blank slate here. And I am not a spam bot, I swear - please let me post!

Nice writeup. Capitalization rules are pretty simple: Other than the make/model of your car, the word "Mom," and the first word of every sentence, it's all lower-case.
