I've seen in the drag race groups where people blew out the Athenas/JEs closing in on 40 psi so I was surprised to see the fire locks cave. Guess they took a beating for quite awhile though given the mileage.
At those sorts of boost levels for that long nothing is going to last forever. 45k miles @ 800 whp is damn impressive and the longest lasting motor i've heard of at those levels. This crazy s.o.b. daily drives this thing.

In case anyone wants to know the shelf life of the IAG firelock headgaskets it’s about 45,000 miles at 40psi

Hi! Based on your experience with this car so far would you have any suggestions on preventive maintenance of these unexpected items like gasket failure that one would not think to replace for these high ho applications. I also have a stage 4 extreme with a 6466 at 35 psi so more conservative but worried about it. Thank you

Hi I would say do frequent oil analyses to get ahead of any failure. I should have done it in retrospect. My fuel pump relay failed a month before my head gasket did. The fuel pumps were making a little weird sound but I thought it was because of the below freezing weather. I should have not driven the car! But realistically it is hard to expect an 800whp 4 cylinder to last 50-60,000 miles

I would still venture to say that the STI is probably one of the better platforms to build for high horsepower. You have a rock solid transmission and 3 very stout differentials. You have a symmetrical AWD system that can put the power down and shoot the car straight. Also relative to European brands, Subaru parts are still cheap to replace

Sure GTRs, BMWs, 911 turbos, and Supras can definitely make more power easy but those parts/engines are way more expensive to replace if things go south. Not to mention the higher complexity electronics of those cars too.
