I found studless snow tire technology to be much more desirable. I liked not having to swap tires by a specific date. Plus they're much quieter than studded, and lighter too.

I'm using all season on my truck just fine, I'm thinking of getting dedicated snow tires for the car, no matta the type. I prefer studded but I might have to go studless.

The only all-season tires I've liked recently are Michelin Cross Climate II. So nice I bought them for my 17" AND 18" wheels. I'm actually considering another set despite being in Phoenix now and rolling on Pilot Sport 4S.

I can't recommend the Cross Climate IIs enough!

I really thought the Subaru community was strong here. It's really not. At least on here and bookface. I still prefer my last community when I was in the lower 48, sad really. I guess I'm getting too old for the times.

Mmmmm... Yeah, it died ages ago. Doesn't mean you can't cook something up! There are still people who want to meet others of similar interests who also aren't trying to cause trouble. Word of mouth will travel quickly, so it's really about being consistent and having a location. Once a week, once a month or once a year, just depends on you.

That's what the positive side of me thinks. In reality, car enthusiasts are a dying breed. It's tough to afford the hobby, whether parts, gas, time, etc.

Still, I do think something well-planned can bear fruit if that's what you really want. Back in Massachusetts we had an annual cruise with a group of us. It was stronger some years and weaker other years. Here in Phoenix, my circle is more into motorcycles and off-roading, but there are many circles out here if I really wanted to venture out.

Keep mentioning your ideas to others and I'm sure something will happen, bro.
