Depending on you piping it can be a little tight access but far from impossible with the engine in.

It's not the most fun, but I've worked in tighter quarters.

so i'm thinking about doing this on a stock location turbo. anyone know if the fitting coming out of the p/s pump will interfere with my turbo inlet hose?

also, i cant seem to find the 14x1.5 to -6an banjo bolt setup on summit...i'm assuming this is the size i need? anyone know where to get one?

Not sure about the first question, but I can confirm that Summit doesn't have a 14x1.5 to -6 banjo (unless they are hidding it). What is being used is just a 14x1.5 to -6 straight connector. No banjo. I did do a little search and eventually found a specialty 14mm to -6 banjo, but decided not to use it this time around. Wish I could remember were I found it. But if you Google a bit, you will too. Definitely isn't a common fitting size.

I am in the process of doing this conversion myself, fwiw.

ok, I took my stock lines to a local hydrolic shop and had them fab me up some custom hoses.

Hoses look good and should work, plus it was only about $70 .

On a side note the hydrolic shop found and inline restrictor and placed it into the new hose.

Unfortunately, I think it will interfere with the turbo inlet hose. I don't think it's tall enough to make it over the inlet hose.

Darn. Just popped the hose out of the fitting. I guess my first attempt at assembling hoses is a bust. I don't suppose anyone knows a place to by pre-assembled, flexible power steering lines with crimped -6 AN fittings? Otherwise attempt number two seems imminent, after I buy more hose.

I believe that -6 AN is the same angle as a -6 JIC fitting. I make these types of hose probably twice a week. Any hydraulic shop should be able to make something for you out of 3000 psi double braid crimped hose. If THAT leaks, then it's either the wrong angle at the fitting or your hydraulic guy doesn't know what he's doing

Only problem is, the hose is black rubber and the fittings are usually a goldish anodized color. Not quite as bling. Sorry

I need to know where the restrictor goes and I don`t want to destroy my stock lines..

My power steering whines with aps braided steel lines and quick rack, I did not see any restrictor in this setup

Letīs see if someone knows

No restrictor is necessary.

I'm guessing everything is the same. I think the PS racks are different between the WRX and STI, but I don't see Subaru going through the trouble to make the thread pitch and fittings different.
