Default Base Model Modification Ideas

I want to know what appearance or performance alterations you have made to your ('12-'14) Base Model Impreza (Sport or Limited additions too)

Thread guidelines
-Ideas and/or pictures
-Cheap or expensive
-Doesn't have to be 'unique'
-Tips n tricks is always nice
-Steps would be awesome too!!!
-No arguing like children/trolls

Not all of us can afford a nice WRX or STI so we have to make do with what we have.

I purchased a 2013 Ice silver Impreza.
So far I only have '07 STI rims to get rid of the hubs and I have a mesh grille to get rid of the chrome.
*Any ideas on what to do next? I really need a secondary color for the calipers...ect (thinking about copper/amber paint).

Before

After (so far..)

Ah very true. Don't own a base model but one mod all Imprezas need is upgraded lighting. Whether it's just bulbs or all-out retrofits. Still shopping around for some quality LEDs for my interior/license plate...

I agree lighting enhancements are easy and fairly cheap. I would like more lights in the trunk. I'm content with my headlights but the red tail lights kinda kill the flow of the car so I was shopping for a good set or I might smoke them out just a little.

What does the "Throttle Controller" do? I mean I can kind of guess... but I'd like details.

Do you notice a significant change in throttle response with that installed compared to when you didn't have it? In other words is it worth it...

It's much more than just a set of supertones, if you actually clicked the link. It's custom hid projectors, rallyarmors, cusco front strut bar, and a set of supertones . But they are in almost brand new shape, since theyve been hidden behind the factory grille with the chrome strips and only on for about 2 months

I wonder if the throttle adjuster thing works on the American model, I suspect the Australian one is different. The only dealer I can find near me doesn't sell them.

The first thing I added on my sport was the bug guard on the front lip of the hood and based on the other impreza's I've seen around here without it it works on deflecting stones off the hood as well
Next mod is the hidden hitch behind the rear fog light hole.

I don't have any scratches on the hood but I do on the sides; I might have to invest into some mud flaps.

I saw it listed as US currency on their (AVO Turboworld's) website so it might just be hard to find or online purchase only

2012 Base 5-door, manual transmission.

-CoverKing seat covers for the front seats
-Lathewerks shift knob
-STI rear sway bar
-Roof crossbars
-17" wheels from the "limited" trim with Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tires
-Stock 15" steelies are wearing Blizzaks for the wintertime
-Pioneer double-din head unit and upgraded speakers

Thinking of doing some sound deadening soon, since the road noise is still pretty bad with the new tires.

Nice. Any pics of the interior? I wish they had crossbars for the sedans but they don't

I took some photos of the head unit after getting it installed. Here's that thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2487275

The seat covers aren't much to look at. They're just flat black, made of a material that Coverking calls "polycotton drill". It's like the material used for a heavy-duty duffel bag. I only got them because I didn't have much confidence in the durability of the upholstery in the base trim level, and the material was one of the more durable and less expensive options.

Shift knob is this, with "small grooves around the entire knob" and the shift pattern engraved on the top. None of the wacky colorations or anything like that. I was thinking of going with a stainless steel knob from them, but the steel is more uncomfortable to touch on very hot/cold days.
