Also, I don't think that the One comes with a z-wave option anymore Which is unfortunate, because there's a pretty big market segment for it. Oh well. |

P.S. Get me one of those Nevos at your next trade show and I'll help you gloat about them on the board. |

Unfortunately, this is the case. I've read that the 1000 does z-wave over IR, but I can't comment on how well it works as I've never used one. Some people seem to like them, but I can't get over the non-traditional formfactor. That, and it's 500 bones. You might as well get a Nevo

I love my 550, but the volume up button has become an absolute bitch to use. Maybe it's time to move up for me, too.

My 880 was the best investment I've ever purchase as I have MANY people who use my remote. 30 second briefing on how to use the Harmony and I know they won't **** up my ****.

I've had an 880 and I'm not buying another one. Now who else has used a One?

I'm torn...
The remote that came with my Onkyo receiver has macro functions that I have set to turn receiver/DTV box/TV on (or off) with one touch, then control the DTV receiver. So far, other than having the bluetooth playstation 3 remote handy, that seems to do the job. The Onkyo remote also controls my Ipod dock. Since I have only a single HDMI connection from receiver to TV, changing TV inputs isn't an issue, just changing the input on the receiver, which I have pretty clearly labeled. I mean you have to know that on the remote Sat = DirecTV, Aux 1 = ipod, etc. But the remote is so freaking cumbersome and cluttered. I do need to give people a primer before using it a bit. I'm thinking about going with a Harmony. Not sure which to get though. Here's what my Onkyo behemoth looks like: Watch your mother try and work that without any prior training |

I was reading about the 900. The RF-IR blasters thing looks great. I can be on the patio and can adjust the volume inside from outside. That's something I currently can't do. That alone may very well be worth the price of admission.
Ewww, $400 though. |

i replaced my 880 a while back with the One (880 had the annoying tiny Hellaflush buttons, and acted weird on the charger).
the One is great, but the touchscreen is not really as functional as a real button, although it looks neat. if i had to do it all over again, i'd probably get the 670 with its nice big chunky buttons and save a few bucks. |

If you take it apart and clean off the contacts on the back of the button it'll work better... for a few weeks. Sadly that's a problem that just keeps getting worse and worse and is chronic on the Logitech remotes.

That feature is worth every bloody penny. You'll wonder how you got along without it

My 880 does not have this problem. I also don't jizz into my remote, so that probably helps.
