Default 2006 WRX: STX or STU?

The Street Touring rules say that STX includes turbo engines up to 2.5 liters in size. The 2006 WRX is advertized as being 2.5 liters, which would just nudge it up into STU territory. But, in the actual technical specs you can see the displacement is 2457cc, which is less than the limit.

So, has there been an official ruling on which class this car should be in? I believe the correct answer is STX, but a friend of mine disagrees so I'd like to find out who is right

Oops, sorry. I don't know where I was getting the 2.5 figure from then. Must have dreamed it.
