I drive it... I don't understand what you mean?? I drive it everyday!

Yes a couple WOT Pulls is the hardest because i don't have a STi transmission!

I mod it because I like the way it sounds with Stage 2!

this has little to do with what you said but..

hard pulls(especially on the highway) from what i've been reading is what kills our subi engines most over time. Don't quote me on this, it's just what i've been reading and surmised over a long period of time.

The thing about subies is they feel like they want to be driven hard all the time, I am now trying HARD to stay away from that.

Is that a pro-tune or did you just have it dynoed? 290ft lbs of tq is crazy. I wonder what kind of numbers I'm putting down with OTS stage 2 map from cobb.

I agree, just cause you have a fast car doesnt mean you have to beat the crap out of it all the time. Dont get me wrong ill romp on my car every once in a while but mainly it stays outta boost and sits in traffic to and from work. It definetly enjoys unleashing all 300whp though when i cruise around on the weekend.

Well I am glad someone else has the same philosophy as I do.

I do get "on it" from time to time but not everyday or all the time...

its amazing what the 2.5 ltr can do vs the crappy 2.0...

nice torque spike... send an extra td04 off to deadbolt and get it reworked, clipped, with a better wheel.... = one awesome autox machine!

We're talking torque right? It show 289.6 for total torque output. Nice numbers to say the least...

Suby engines are quite stout, Id be more worried about your stock gears and wtf do mean crappy 2.0? Ive beaten 06 TRs stock for stock with my 2.0 and Id rather have more hp than torque anyday. Wtf does torque do for you after 5k rpm? Not a damn thing, nice numbers altima

^^ oh dear. You do realize that without torque, you have no horsepower, right? One's just a function of the other. Besides, look at all the sub 11 Hondas. They have little torque, but make decent hp, are light, and rev high.

And as I say "they" are retarded If you believe thats true then you believe the OP should be shifting at 5k rpm to stay in his torque band? Gearing comes into play not just HP or TQ, rather how they are applied. Use this shift point calculator and it will tell you to shift around 62-6500 i believe.

http://www.bgsoflex.com/shifter.html

Bottom line is if you have more TQ at a given RPM you have more HP and vice versa....

Its just a simple equation..

TQ = HP * 5250 / RPM

HP = TQ * RPM / 5250

You cant increase one and have the other go down...and just because torque is decreasing in the upper RPM range doesnt necessarily mean you are accelerating slower....
Code:
RPM	HP	TQ
5000	350	368
5500	350	334
6000	350	306
6500	350	283
7000	350	263

RPM	HP	TQ
5000	300	315
5500	300	286
6000	300	263
6500	300	242
7000	300	225

RPM	HP	TQ
5000	250	263
5500	250	239
6000	250	219
6500	250	202
7000	250	188
