Default 07 wrx climate control lights?

I’m relatively new here so I’m not sure if this has been brought up before. But I can’t seem to find any info on this model specifically.

I’d like to change the greenish lights in my Hvac controls to red LED. Has anyone done this? What bulbs are required and is it as easy as just pulling out the existing ones and putting new ones in?

I just did this the other day after 13 years of ownership on my 06. It's not an easy swap... you have to wire in new LEDS. I can do it for you, I work with small electronics all the time so it's not that hard for me.

Have any pics of your result? What exactly is involved in swapping the lights?

I'll have to upload some pics later. There's no swapping out... you paint the existing ones red, and ADD 2 per dial of super bright red. The Red overpowers the green plastic backing and voila... red lighting. The original white LEDs aren't powerful enough painted red to overpower the green. So you need to ADD lighting... and wire it in a way so that dimming still works, and resistor them properly as well.

Do notnchange the lights to crappy LEDs. I promise you they will flicker on and off.every used vehicle ive gotten, some nutsack puts leds in the head lights or the hud desplay or control lights. Its stupid and theyre crap and blow easily. Do not waste your money man you will be regretting it. I even had headlight leds on a used car i bought blow the alternator and battery from over charging and qorking the alternator

Yeah can do for parts cost plus small labor and postage.

I did pretty much exactly like the video quoted below. They're properly resistored, and no flickering, etc. Not sure what the last post is about.
