Would you be interested in selling the downpipe by itself?

Is that the same perrin downpipe and greddy catback that's been in the corner of the shop at austin subaru for over a month? I was told $1000, why did the price go up ?

You're going to want to drop the price of these $200 to be competetive with the current board price.... I should know , I set it

It would probably be best to sell these to someone buying a WRX off the floor. They might pay higher prices if the parts are included in the financing.

Funny thing is phillip told me he had to know by friday because it belonged to someone else and he needed the money right away.... a month later it's still for sale and the price went up. Sorry, but beware of anything they try to sell you. They will tell you that you are getting something below cost, or new and lie to your face... all while wearing a smile of course.

I don't want to be a jerk about it, because no one likes people trolling, but you can get a NEW VF39 for under $900 in the Vendor For Sale forums.

Those are also negotiable guys, I'm sure you can get philip to knock the price a bit...if you're remotely interested, try to work out a deal. He's a cool guy -- and if the price doesn't work out, then don't do it...but you don't know until you ask.

Don't think anyone is knocking him per say.... But $700 for a USDM TMIC?

I'm guessing perhaps he used Subaru new parts pricing at attain these initial fugures.

Free bump for a fellow trader

he told me $1200 for an HKS downpipe, and greddy Evo catback, and an uppipe when the sti doesnt need an uppipe, then he came down to $1000 saying not to tell anyone. He even went to protech and bought the stuff and put it on the showroom floor. I didnt know much about exhaust at the time so i researched it and found out he was about $300 too high... that was with the "discounted" prices... and that doesnt include installation.

most all career car salesmen are people who weren't smart enough to go to college, nor did they have the trade skills to survive, but discovered they were really good at bs'ing and cheating and lying to people, so they became car salesmen.

To you mister car salesmen, don't you know that ALMOST ALL the TOP CAR SALEMEN are HONEST, and don't quote their customers exorbitantly? I forgot his name but Frank something at Livermore Subaru, who was like the top subaru saleman in the country, is so flat out honest with his customers he tells them exactly how much commission he will make (being firm with the price of course) and customers are often SO IMPRESSED with his sincerity and honestly they let their wallets loose. How cool is that? Be like him my friend.

yes... those speakers are nice. I've sat in front of some maggies before, they are real picky on placement IIRC

alot of people say that.... believe it or not, the instructions are right in the book... depending how far away you are sitting from the speakers. You just space them apart accordingly and angle them in and presto... like magic. I listened to a pair or martin logans CLS II's and the "sweet spot" was very narrow and tinny sounding... these were connected to a pair of 400-watt mono blocks too. I listened to these maggies and i fell in love...

Yea, MLs are notorious for having a sweet spot.

Well, it's "supposed" to be an equalateral triangle from your listening area to the seperation of the speakers.

But this really isn't the place for this discussion
