I think April would be fine. Average temps say it should be in the upper 50's and with DST happening March 13th - we would have daylight until 7:30 or so. As a bonus - if happens to rain, we could just park under the upper deck.

I like the sound of the parking garage, a chance to get some cool "urban" photos out of our local professionals. I'm not too familiar with fees but I think you're right in that there is no fee after 5-6.

FYI

The ramps across the street from liars/other bars charges friday & sat.

All the other ramps EMC, Nationwide Ect are free to the public on weekends.

Haha - I love to floor it around the corners going up and get the tires squealing good too.

Unless they have changed this recently - I have parked here on weekend nights and not been charged. Last time was back in September I think.

We should be good on a Wednesday though.

In the last thread, Ed mentioned keeping down the banter in this one so that the relevant information is fairly easy to find. I added a basic forum to the ISC.com site if you guys want to use that. It is still fairly simple, but I plan on tweaking it and tayloring it for our specific needs. Whatcha' think?

I might be. I may use it to make a custom dual-tip exhaust. But if someone else actually wants it, give it to them.

That's what.. they said? Yes my car has newer seats. I like them! But I'm sad to see my old ones go.

So, anyone know the owner of the new '11 DGM WRX up in Ames? Saw it today at the Swift Stop in North Ames? Good looking car!

Looks like the guy might live up here where I do. Saw the car pull out and then later back in to the complex...

this is from the old forum, but I really dig this idea. just saying.

Hey all,
Matt (redleader36) and I were talking tonight about the April Spools Meet. It sounds like Saturday the 2nd is going to be the best day but we need to decide four things:
1) Do we want to have the April Spools Meet and then our normal monthly meet a few days later? Or just have the ASM and count it as our monthly?
2)What restaurant do we want for ASM? It needs to be able to potentially fit 50-60 people.
3)Do we want to make ASM an all-makes meet? I don't know if we can have a large enough showing from just DSM guys to not make it just like another Subie meet.
4)Cruising was also discussed. What are your thoughts people?

Ready. Set. Discuss.

I was thinking about getting some other import/tuner (jdm city) people involved. I have no idea what kind of place could take that many people at this point, along with pretty much a car show. I was even thinking of having wrenches or somebody host us. I just can't think of a whole lot of places that would want to host something this large. Discuss more....

Maybe something like Bennigans? They do the old car meets there in the summer. Hooters hosts car meets too. Also, we could do something like the road rally meets and not have everyone go into eat at the same time and as a big group.

Would Old Chicago in Ankeny work? It looks like they have an okay parking lot or we could use the Sportsman's lot next door. Anyone know if there is sufficient seating inside?
