i don't think the international community will let it go that far (i hope).

plus, even if there was one, i couldn't see it going very long. israel tends to kick their asses pretty quickly over their. add in that syria's millitary is out of lebanon, and i don't think they could mount much of a defense.

On the brink?

I thought when one country sends tanks into another country w/o permission, they're usually PAST the brink, and into full-blown war.

I think thier may be some other things going on, they now have thier troops split. If this was planned they could be in some trouble.

I still think they can pull it off though, but nothing will be solved.

Israel is not going to war with Lebanon, just the militants that control the Southern region of Lebanon...The actuall Lebanese government/military has nothing to do with what is going on...they haven't had any real control over their country for decades anyway....

I'll say this now...

I believe the events in Israel, Iraq, N. Korea and Iran will lead (if not directly) into the next World War. It may not be "next few years" soon, but I believe this is the beginning steps of that.

I also believe that that war (and the one we're in) will usher the US out of "super power" status, and China and India will surge into that role.

EDIT: I also believe (fairly strongly) that the EU will either separate, divide, or lose some significant members soon (possibly as a result of those conflicts)
