Default I read the FAQ's and Manifesto...

But didn't really see what I was looking for... this is probably really basic, and I think I know what to do, but just want to be sure since this is my first time installing amps... I am planning on running the speaker wires from my 4 channel amp right up the middle and connecting them to the wiring harness. Since I am doing that and I don't need to make any speaker wire connections to the Alpine hu harness do I just need to cap off those speaker wire connections and zip tie them out of the way, or is there something else I need to do with those wires? I realize this is probably a very basic questions, but I just want to make sure I am doing this correctly.

Thanks to all/anyone for the help.

Right... so basically I don't do anything with the speaker wire connections on the Alpine harness? That is what I thought... thanks. I know that having the hu amp and the 4 channel amp running power to the speakers at the same time is bad, just wanted to be sure that I was going in the right direction.

No... I took them out and put in Polk Audio coax...6.5 in front and 4" in the rears! They sound great off the hu but I have an Alpine MRP-F240 4 ch amp just sitting around so I figure they will sound even better with more power. I also have an Alpine 12" S series sub and an Alpine MRP-T220 for that. I got the seats out, front and rear, the center dash and cosole as well as the armrest/cup holder removed... the carpet isn't out of the car but I have it so that I can easily lift it up and move wires around under it without difficulties. I just finished taking measurements, so as soon as the wifey gets home with her car I will run up to the car audio shop and get my wires and supplies! Hope to have it done and all put back together by Sunday... Wish me luck.
