Not funny, but certainly a "Phrase". Driving home the other night with my window down a bunch of guys in an oldschool Mercedes pass me slowly on the drivers side. Guy in the back hangs his head out and yells, "Get a real car, ***!" (derogatory term for a gay person). I'm thinking, "what the hell man?".
I noticed he kept his window down after they passed me, so I let off the throttle, backed off just enough... downshifted into 3rd, and blew past his open window at 24psi to give him an upclose listen to an open dump EWG.

You mean GNX, the uppity up version of the GN. GNX had a torsion bar added to the rear end for better launch and other minor upgrade but both had the legendary 3.6L Turbo V6. I actually started out as a Gbody enthusiast after buying my 88 cutlass, 84 cutlass, parts 84 cutlass and trading my 84 cutlass body for an 85 buick regal. I know them cars inside and out pretty well but astill have a ton of learning to do
In relation this topic I've been cursed with many encounters of with the Mongoloid car community(honda owner). Edit: For the record I come off as a dick but I always nice and poilte to people who try to talk cars to me even when they have no idea what they're talking about as long as they don't try to be mister "know it all" because every one has to start off with asking stupid questions. If they act like a honda owner all hell is unleashed In my robotics class in high school I was put in a group with a kid who owned a v6 accord and though it was the coolest car in the school. I'd also like to point out he watched one too many Ken Block Video's (his fans are ****ing morons) Me: I wouldn't minded getting a fox body mustang at some point Him: Oh, you're one of those people (snoty tone) Me: WTF DO YOU MEAN THOSE PEOPLE? Him: a mustang owner/wanter rolls his eyes Me:You know why I'd like to get a mustang? so I can learn how to drift in a car I wouldn't car about getting beat up. I wouldn't give a **** I'll drive it into a wall for the ****s and giggles! Him: You need and AWD car to drift dumb ass Me: You don't drift an AWD car, the pulling force of the front tires actually prevents it from drifting, instead it considered powering sliding. That's why there are no AWD in Formula D Me: But you say I need AWD so you're going to sit there and tell me that an AE86, an fs, fc, fd Rx7 are AWD? I need and AWD so that must mean Mustangs, Camero's and Charges are too right? Him:uhh uhmmm Me: that's what I thought, don't come up in here and try to talk about **** you don't under stand mother ****er!BOOO YAH Random kid 3 feet away: Seriously man...don't try to argue car to Nathan. He knows his **** Last edited by vhsandvinyl; 05-23-2013 at 09:47 AM. |

The same kid in the above post also decide to talk about a GN one day
Him: I'd like to get a GNX some day Me: Don't get me wrong I love the GNX but they're hard to find and over expensive Him: Pfft I have money Me: alright then 1) good like finding a GN easy in Canada and 2) when you do manage to find one even if you go to the states good luck getting it for less than 30Grand Me: i don't see why you wouldn't get a regal and make a clone GN Him: because that's ****ing stupid, GN's are so fast Me: They're quick but handle like ****. For the 30 grand or more you'll spend on a GN I could drop a done over 455 in my Cutlass and smoke any Grand National you buy Him: Then I'd just put a 455 in the Grand National Me :face palm: The 3.6L v6 is the only reason the Grand Nation is famous. Putting anything else in it is a slight against the car would you idiot. Sadly this was the 3rd stupid conversation I got into with him so I refused to talk cars to him ever again. |

I'm the owner of the famous $100 Subaru, my coworkers made fun of it the day I got it. I nicknamed it the "super subaru", they called it the spicaroo, seeing how I'm half mexican. My coworker owns a 93 honda civic and he was bragging about how he could smoke my subaru. One day we raced and I easily left him in the dust, he didn't even have a chance. We put my legacy to the test and I went mudding with a bunch of big pickups, my subaru could go all the places that those trucks couldn't.

Rofl..cant blame you for refusing to talk again about cars. I feel like i got a headache just reading this lol. I used to love GN's, still do. I guess 10 years ago, i'd always look around to see what was around and whatnot. Surprisingly, there was always a few GNX's around, but even back then, they were close to 30g's. I can imagine, they've only gone up in value now. Only reason i'd get a GNX now at this point would be more for a collectors item sort of thing. Love em. |

Went to NAPA for an oil filter.
Napa Guy: Have you seen a show called R U Faster than a Redneck? Me: No Napa Guy: They have a bunch of American Muscle and they race imports. Me: Sounds Cool Napa Guy: They always call the Subaru drivers Subaloosers Me: Okay? Didn't know if he was intentionally insulting me but didn't care to ask. I later watched a couple of episodes of said show and it was retarded. So set up Also not sure if SPEED channel is trying to alienate import owners |

If not for MotoGP I doubt I'd ever watch it. They'd rather show stupid "reality" shows than REAL racing. |

Have to say though that the GTR episode made me laugh. It was definitely pushing more than 500hp based on how it walked away from that 700hp mustang. |

I heard my first one last night..
I pulled into a parking spot and got out. A guy sitting in a truck asked "Does that have one of the little turbo's in it? " I said "yes" He said, "ya know how I knew that?" "no" "Those Stars on the front, They only put them on the Turbos" I Said "What?" "Those stars in the middle there (points to subaru emblem)" I just said "Oh" and walked away.... |
