Based on his comments, it appears that the red one pictured in the previous post is actually closer than this green one.

I understand it's a rendering, but the production headlights will be WAY bigger than that. But it does look nice.

Interesting, did Ford ask them to pull down the "I got to evaluate a 2015..." thread?:

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...d-deleted.html

Thread asking where the above thread went...

Wow, looks like too much info was given in that thread. I ended up reading all of it and I can't wait for what it looks like. Definitely top contender for my next car.

Wow! Deleted thread courtesy of Ford?

I guess the few detractors trying to call BS about whether the poster was legit got their answer, didn't they?

If I could get past really preferring AWD in the winter...

I would definitely agree with your sentiment.

I grew up in the back seat of a fox capri, the first car I spent my own money on was a fox Mustang. the extended family still has a 91 Capri, and a 2005 Mustang convertible.

Before I learned the superiority of AWD traction, I was a Mustang fanatic.

Most of the reason why I wish there was an AWD 6-cylinder fastback coupe competitor to the Mustang. I know an AWD Mustang directly would be a bridge too far for Ford and Mustang fans. Although, maybe as a Lincoln....

An AWD Lincoln Mustang!?!

I have to say, you are getting pretty ingenious at coming up with semi-plausible niches for the automotive holy grail that is an AWD coupe!

Has anyone suggested a turbocharged, AWD, 2 door, Mercury Marauder, as competition for the mustang?

.... can't take a friggin' joke....

Amazing how many Subaru owners there are around here, to make fun of appreciating AWD's benefits in a winter climate.

One unfamiliar with the back-biting, vicious nature of this forum would think nobody had actually experienced and appreciated that before, for all the people criticizing it.

One wonders why you all don't solely drive 2WD cars in the winter, yourselves, and aren't already Mustang owners.

Like I friggin' care. Have your fun, I hope it makes you all feel like ingenious, witty internet forum titans to criticize others. It is probably all you have.

How sad, it doesn't have the classic American mustang traits from previous years anymore.
If it wasn't for the pony badge, I wouldn't think it was a mustang. It looks more european.

Hip To BS... Check out my cars. Check out where I live. Understand that we get about 40-80 inches of snow a year.

Two words: Snow Tires

Lots of people have and continue to live in the snow belt without AWD.

I'd love to see a rendering with the Aston Martin tails on it for comparison...

This. There are plenty of Mustangs around these parts who do just slap on snow tires and do just fine.

It's hard to put into words because throughout the thread, he posted paragraphs of text about what he and another poster saw. The conclusion is that this is the closest to what he saw, most notably the front and sides of the car, and also the door window connecting with the rear seat window:

He said the headlights were slits just like that but with more of a slant/rake. However, people were speculating that the design wasn't 100% done and that the production headlights will look more like this:

The two forum members who saw the 2015 Mustang both loved the rear end and described the taillights as "louvered". They said it also retained the same diffuser/exhaust section of the 2013 Mustang, which I like. So if you like the sides and front of the pictures above, along with the diffuser/exhaust section of the 2013, then chances are you'll like the 2015 re-design.

He said he saw a 2.3L 4-cylinder EcoBoost option making 315bhp and 34mpg, a 6-cylinder option that he didn't pay attention to because he's not interested in a V6 () and a V8 option that mentioned the word "EcoBoost". There was also a question on the survey part that asked "Would you pay $8K more for the V8 option over the base model?" to which he replied yes. Which makes sense, since the base GT costs $8K more than the base V6 right now. That's all I can remember from memory right now unless someone compiled all the info while the thread was still up.

You don't think the red and green cars I posted above resemble a re-styled, more modern, Mustang?

Was anyone suggesting that you can't survive in the snow without AWD? Of course that's not true, people do it all the time. But it's undeniable that with the same snow tires and AWD, you're much better off than any 2WD setup.
