Interested to see how the driving dynamics turn out. That's really the most important thing. Did Honda really say the US will be getting a Type-R? How did I miss that?

Hey, I missed it too... That's awesome!

I just hope they tune the suspension correctly so it doesn't understeer horribly like the si.

Where did anyone read this is coming to the states? There's no chance this thing is coming here.

Yeah, pretty sure I have read that this will not be destined for our shores. Sadly. Even though it's ugly, the Type R designation still brings me back to being 19 and wistfully driving my autotragic Integra LS.

Ha! I had a 91 ls 5-speed Integra when I was 17 and it was a really great car. I miss the seats.
I remember going to the Acura dealer when the type R first was released here. Man was that a sweet car.

Looking back, the non-US market Civic has been a different car. Much more funky and even uglier than the USDM version.

If the US gets a type R, I suspect it won't even be the same one. Maybe an SI with a bigger spoiler and stickers.

^ Would e cool if it actually looked like that, with CRZ proportions and with a proper engine.

Add about two extra inches of wheel gap for a production model

looks more barftastic than the concept version. Sad thing is, it probably won't even look that good, when it hits production.

I wonder if we'll see the return of the standard Civic hatchback though. Doubtful in my mind since it will cannibalize sales from the Fit

Should have squared the front end instead of the ugly sloping non sense.

Either way, as ugly as the concept is, the real thing, I assure you will be uglier.

Needs more Hyundai style swooshing on the side panels. God Honda, what the **** are you designing these days? Nothing good looking comes from this company anymore.

Looks better than the 2015 WRX and will probably be a good bit faster.

Look better if the wide front fender was one piece not something that looks tacked on.
