I personally would be worried about using it my 17' wrx. I'd be afraid a chunk of carbon would come off my valve and ruin the motor. Lol.

I’ve used it on all my cars since 2004, haven’t had any issues with it. I’ve done the liquid and spray. The spray method gives you the most carbon burn. I’ve done it a couple times on this car (2016) since I got it. The fluid is easy, I put some in the gas tank and some into the case a few hundred miles or so before an oil change.

Idk about seafoam but have been running mmo for years, seems to keep the engine quiet

ChrisFix made a vid about it on youtube if you wanna see what it could do. I'm pretty sure he tested a whole bunch of different kinds too.
