![]() ^ Thats a great idea, I never thought of attending a local meet. Btw, I hear some downpipes have cracking issues. Can someone enlighten me on this? Is it only with a specific brand?

![]() Helix catted downpipe
Helix catback 06+ WRX has catless up-pipe so don't waste your money on an aftermarket catless up-pipe. It sounds and looks pretty good IMHO. ![]() |

![]() It really comes down to the look/sound level you are after, almost all exhausts give similar gains in power.
Do some research and you will find one to your liking |

![]() We are all over at my house now in VA Beach, drunk and punching each other. I moved this here as local advice is better than national advice as hearing is better than opinions or videos. Here's your help though:

![]() I had the Stromung dual tip cat back when my car was N/A and now have the Stromung dual tip turbo back (catted)... I love how it has a nice deep rumble yet its pretty damn quiet. I also have the STi up-pipe but ive been too lazy to install it. Sometimes i do wish it was louder... somedays i just feel like being rowdy i guess. Ive thought about looking for an Apexi axle back or something similar that will bolt right up to the stromung mid pipe... just for the days that i feel like making some noise. The only thing that i dont like about the fart can is that it looks too big or out of place on a GC. The Stromung is perfect in every way IMO.

![]() I was just thinking... does anyone know of a dual tip axle back exhaust similar to the stromung that has that loud, deep boxer rumble. That would be perfect.

![]() I had a helix puppy launcher. I got a few tickets before I decided to take it off.
You want to be careful around here, esp summers in Va beach. The Popo likes to target large diameter and loud exhausts. I would rule out the Helix and RFL (I have owned both) If I were to do it all again, I would go prodrive or borla. I never got to hear the daddys SCP though. There are plenty of local meets where you can hear some, though most of the locals have pretty quiet exhausts. |

![]() Remember my advice buddy....personal opinions and videos suck....see and hear it in person. There are over 100 Subaru owners locally, talk to some and hear some BEFORE you purchase. I have the Massiv Catback myself and it's one of the quietest there is. Dave should post later, but there's a weekly meet on Wed that should help you see/hear exhausts. You also need to research engine management as well as you shouldn't slap exhausts on 04+ Subarus willy-nilly and think you are done. You have a LOT to learn....use us.

well mine is not silent, it is loud, but no drone on the highway. No fitment issues on my STi... but you NEED kartboy hangers (regular, not long). another vid: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...eoid=616597551 |

I gotcha, Im just gathering information and seeing what my options are. And of course I'd get some EM before the exhaust! I've been reading around on the forums for a few weeks so I know TBE before EM is a big no-no ![]() |
