I ran a 13.7 stock on 90 octane fuel at 99mph. a 12.9 is possible but I'm not interested in breaking something any time soon lol.

I agree. I met an sti guy at the track friday night who was pushing 380 whp and he couldn't beat 13.2 @ 105. Maybe it was his shifting or tune. But usually car magazines will post mid 13's at a little over 100mph. Maybe that's corrected, maybe it's with a pro driver.

I have seen people run 13.3s bone stock at 100-101mph, guy at my track ran a 13.0@106mph with just a downpipe no tune.

Exactly. I've seen modded STi's run mid 14's at the track. It really depends on how good a driver you are. Low 13's are possible stock. High 12's are not terribly hard to get into with a few mods. I'm not saying I could do it personally. I doubt I'll ever drag my STi.

I ran 13.2@ 101 in mine bone stock. With a little more practice and better weather i'm sure a 13 flat or maybe a 12.9 was possible.

13.3 @ 103 - Road & Track, 2004 vehicle
13.3 @ 100 - Motor Trend, 2005 vehicle 13.0 @ 103 - Motor Trend, 2006 vehicle As stated before, 13.3 @ 101 is the average time, but keep in mind that the '07 should be a few 10ths quicker because it reaches the 1320 in 4th, but it's rarely tested. |

Wow some of these 1/4 mile times seem very quick. I was just wondering though stock STi's dont seem to launch very well. Are the trannies meant to be roughed up? will they even handle it?
I'm curious cuz when i first tried it, i revved to about 3600-4000 rpm and just dropped the clutch, but the wheels were hopping very bad and it just seemed like it did no good for me. |

STI's don't launch very well??? 1.6 60ft's aren't good??? Check out what 60ft the 400 hp Mustang running slicks in the lane next to you just turned. Do a search on launch techniques, it takes a little to figure it out. It's been said many times the STI isn't a good drag car. Don't believe it, they are very good drag cars...the problem is they are so much better on a road course it just makes them seem bad on the strip. |

A 1.6 will not be had by a stock STi without the Jesus Riding Shotgun mod. Seriously, a 13.3 translates to an 8.4 8th mile, and a 1.8 60'. Yes, you can get a 1.7, and even a 1.6, but they're not the norm for a stock 13.3 timeslip.
And yes, the RE070's can hop, some cars experience this, some cars don't. Dumping the clutch isn't as bad as most people make it out to be, and as long as your tires are spinning you should be ok. Remember, no slip = break. I honestly got rid of the RE070's because they bite so well, I really like my BFG G-Force Sports in contrast as I'm able to beat on the car harder with less fear of breakage. |

Ouch! Those time are kind of disconcerting.
My best time with my Stage 2 STi is 14.1 @ 101 Okay! Before you all jump on me, here are the conditions; the track is a 1/4mi track in Acton, MT. It's at 4600ft, and outside air temp during my run was about 98 degrees farenheit. Fuel is 91 octane (the best you can get here). So conditions are not ideal by any means. My 60' times could still use some work though. 1.9 is my best thus far. |

If your times were corrected for altitude, temp, and bp (like the magazine times are) you'd probably be closer than you think.

I ran 13.1 @ 103 in my old 04 STi stock. Anything above mid-13's and it's the driver that needs some work, not the car

If corrected would that be right for a Stg. 2 STi, though?

Wow it seems like some people just don't know how to drive, 13.2 @ 103 in a bone stock STI is easy to do as long as it's not over 85 degrees outside!!!!! 07' should be doing 13.0 flat, but I don't have one of those!!!!!
