OMGHi2U Weekend Trip with the Girlfriend, where to?

Girlfriend and I are celebrating our 4 year anniversary. Live in Albany want to travel for the weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun).

Basic idea is within 3 hours of us. And I want something to do, I can't stand being isolated and bored. A bed and breakfast is fine as long as the town it's in has some good attractions.

We're doing this in 2 weeks, the weekend of April 21/22 or at the latest the 28/29 but then it has to be something really special.

Spit out some ideas. Montreal is out of the question because of the possibility of needing Passports.

Thanks!

gotta go to the hall of records in the town she was born, they should produce it on the spot, if it is far maybe she can do it over the phone.

I just went to Montreal, didn't need to use my birth certificate, just DL but its good to have it for back up, esp when coming back into the country.

She has a few ideas.

1. Lake Placid.
2. Montreal (but I want to do that on a 5 day weekend).
3. Saratoga NY (This is more my idea, there are 3 restaurants we like and a migratory game bird preserve where they have species from all over the world. You can't hunt them but can get to see birds you would never otherwise see. Also I have a house in Lake George that's 30 minutes from Saratoga and know the area well from work. I could make that interesting with little preperation).

Thanks for the help and ideas. I want to go to Vermont Sports Car to see how they prep rally cars but it's 3.5 hours away and I have no idea what else is around.

She's a great girl, she'll go stare at a car for 3 hours because she knows that I love it.

Nope, no marriage plans. We are happy right now, don't want to **** that all up by getting married.

We can be ourselves now, in marriage you have to be the Husband and Wife thing,we're not ready for that.
