Mind your manners all you addicts drunk on interweb juice. Try to exercise some self control! I expect all of you to be at group therapy tonight at QSL, where you will be prescribed human interaction and several fluid ounces of a carbonated medication activator to counter act the effects of your self-destructive inter-netting.

Will you also be administering free prostate exams again in the private area behind the dumpsters?

At my age, you'd be stupid to pass up a free prostate exam.

OR

Yeah, because your mom is usually busy on the 1st Wednesday of the month.

OK, I need some advice here for an 04 WRX.

I'm getting stuff together to do rear wheel bearings on my car. Everything back there is rusted to hell. I've already trashed one lateral link bolt that is seized to the inner metal collar of one of the lateral link bushings. The same or worse is probably true for the other side. So, I'll probably have to replace at least 2 of the 4 bushings. These bushings seem to be kind of expensive. Then I'll still have to press it out and stuff.

So I was thinking of just buying this:

~$300
http://www.jscspeed.com/catalog/Suba...ubaru_WRX.html

Or, if someone already has a set of 02-07 WRX lateral links with trashed bushings, maybe I can put new bushings in them and give you my old links afterwards.

On the same topic, does anyone have spare WRX rear kunckles with bad bearings that I could have and replace with mine afterwards? It would reduce down-time.

Junkyards maybe? Is that stuff wrx specific or any impreza/forester? Probably could get one with a decent bearing in it too. Pull the whole assembly from a donor.

Good thought. Except I don't know what to search for under www.car-part.com.

Searching for 'spindles' only returns the Front spindles. Same with 'knee assembly'

Called up All-Foreign and they call it a 'rear stub axle'! $35! Good call Jesse!

I have a set of rear Forester Lateral links. I think they are the same but have the STi style endlink tab so you dont need those stupid C shaped endlinks.

You got something against joints in double shear?

Also, if I were to get those replacement lateral links, I could just use this bushing set.

Mike, did you replace the lateral links in your Forester or do you just have another spare set? Is the track-width any different between the Forester and a GD Impreza Sedan?

With everything going on lately at the new shop we sometimes forget to share pics of some of the projects we work on, but here are two exhaust systems we did this week for two different 2013 cars. One was for a Mini Roadster R58 and the other was for an Impreza Sport. Both were kept within the predetermined budgets and they both look and sound fantastic! 3 more custom Mini exhaust projects next week as well as number of full engine builds, regular service, etc.

This week we also completed our Star Wars themed FJ Cruiser project for a customer in Cleveland and the shop Forester is almost ready to be unveiled after 2 years of hibernation! Pics from both vehicles coming soon and we have a number of really unique road race, drag and autox builds about to get underway during the cold season. More to come!

R58 - increased pipe size, muffler delete, cat delete, Boral tip "blued" in house

Impreza Sport - muffler delete, 2.5" inlet pipe, 3" outlet pipe, stainless resonator

You could probably tell them to leave the lateral links on it for an extra 20 bux and not mess with any of it.

No, I just have something against compressing and stretching a C shaped link.

Anyway, yeah I have the SPT aluminum lateral links with the spherical bearings in them. I think they are the same length as the STi because a lot of people just put the regular STi aluminum lateral links on the Forester.

Fair enough.

I see. That could work then!

Picked up a 35K old wheel bearing/hub/upright from All-Foreign for $35 Should make it a lot easier.

I heard that in person and it actually sounds really good! It's not obnoxious loud and has a lot of low-frequency rumble. It sounds quite 'throaty' under throttle application. Much much better than the anemic stock sound.
