Talking advice needed on replacing quarter panels.

Dear NASIOC members,

At this moment I am working on my impreza GC8 out of 96, and it has quite some rust. At this point I removed everything that had some rust on in and am trying to put some new metal in. I am alomost coming to the point where I need to put the wheelarch and quarter panel back on. I live in an area where rust is quite common so I want to be sure it will not rust in quite some time.

But there are 2 ways I heard possible to put it al back together.
- Panel adhesive bonding, is this strong? enough and how should I use
it?

- Weld the wheel arch and quarter panel back on.

so what do you guys think is the better option and maybe got some tips?

My body shop uses both methods together. The adhesive holds everything together and also seals the two body panels together.

Welding is used to strengthen the connection point. I don't know if he welds the whole seam or just spot welds.

clean metal and weld it, Adhesive works but welding each of the spot welds will definitely hold up better
