Default Cracked Cylinder Wall, Help With Swap Options!

Yep, so my 98 legacy gt (phase 1 dohc ej25) has a cracked cylinder wall. STill waiting for my mechanic to give me the rest of the diagnosis. (He's looking at it for free, so his paying customers come first ). I'm thinking that now is as good a time as any to do the WRX swap. My question is, will the USDM ej20 make a reliable daily driver? I dont autox, or track my car. I dont drive it that hard. I'd just like some power to take down the local Honduhs in my area. I was planning on a TBE, and maybe a cobb ap or something similar. Any opinions, input, suggestions, flames etc are welcome. Thanks.

Well, if you are taking your car to the mechanic for diagnosis rather than doing it all yourself, I would consider this a time to maybe consider buying a WRX/STI rather than converting to one. Those conversions can be hard and expensive, especially if you don't have a lot of practical wrenching experience. This would be a good way to get some experience, mind you, but I think in the end you will be paying for it.

Go read up in the conversions forum and post a similar question there.
