I may only be one of the many who found this thread late and after getting through all of it is simply amazed, but of all the times to find it, I think this is the best. It is pretty much done. I can't wait to see the finished product! Great Work!

Turbos been welded and now fitted along with the downpipe and wastegate. Shortened the inlet hose slightly for better fit. Hopefully get header tank bracket back this week from the coaters and then that can also go on. Oil separator is currently being made. Will size up for the last boost pipe this week too.

My recent pics have been from my iPhone. Here are some new snaps with a real camera lol. So close now its getting frustrating. lol.

Forever mate, i dont honestly know why all the US guys get hooked up on swapping out the OEM rads.

The RCM Gobstopper runs an OEM rad with 850bhp and zero issues. My rad will fracture before it causes a temp issue on track.

Frays what clamps are you using on the intercooler hoses as I have heard the the normal metal ties used can come off when on high boost, happened on a friends GTIR running over 400 bhp

there are some Micalor clamps that are meant to be spot on.

Ive been out at the ring in 30+ degree heat and still never had a coolant issue. Do you guys actually have a temp problem or is it just "cool" to run an ally rad?

Just using standard HiGrip stanless clamps mate. If the pipes are rolled properly and clamps fitted properly you shouldnt have a problem. Also use the old hairspray trick as well as having the powdercoat on my pipes textured which aids grip on the hoses.

ours ( bugeyes) usually crack, and out where it gets hot ( AZ and CA ) track subies are always over heating. Yet it doesnt get quite as hot there as the southern US states do.

Overall i think the bay is really starting to look a bit special now. Im quite pleased.

As of tonight, header tank is fitted and plumbed in, new PAS line made and fitted. Turbo fully plumbed for coolant and oil, VAC pipes for the wastgate have been run, turbo blanket has been wire locked in place.

Also my custom oil separator is done, this will have a bracket made and then off to the powdercoaters. The last boost pipe was measured up tonight too and that should also be made up asap.

She'll be getting the usual dose of satin black :thumb:

Many thanks for all the superb comments guys.

Made up a little loom for the fuel pump relay tonight. Still requires the trigger wire but this can be done on the day. You'll notice the small red Deans plug with fly leads to the pump. This is so I can just unplug the pump and with just one bolt and 2 fuel fittings the whole pump/filter cradle can be removed to get super easy access for changing spark plugs.

Well a little break between showers meant i could get some of this stuff fitted up.

Strut brace back on, oil separator in and final boost pipe in. I need to make up the -10 return line to the oil pan but i didnt fancy getting under the car in the rain. lol

So now the oil cooler and air inlet ducting can be done and the front end can go back on. Lets hope tomorrows weather lets me play

Huge thanks to the kind words and support from everyone. :thumb:

Have some pics

Chipped, cracked, dented, swirled and in need of some serious paintwork attention. Shes in one piece again.

You have the ap 6 pistons right? Are they the cp5555-816s4 or the cp7040-2? Im trying to source rotors and brackets for mine but its very difficult here in the US.
