I got a question concerning lug nuts and xxr 522's. I have xxr 522's 17x9 but cant put them on my car because my current lug nuts don't fit into the little lug holes. I know you need tuner style lugs so i was looking at Muteki sr48 lugs but read that the lug itself fits but the lug key is to large and scratch's the wheels. Can anyone confirm this? Also can someone recommend some extended lugs that you know will fit for sure. I looked through this thread in regards to this but came up dry. Thanks in adavance.

That's cuz they are the STock STi fender flares. But after I pulled my fender to stop the rubbing they got damaged when I was mounting them back on. Now I'm taking it to a body shop I either get it fixed or am fender flares.

Ok, forgetting about the looks for one second...

Aren't you worried that if you take a corner too hard that you will pop the bead and the tire will literally fall off of the wheel? I couldn't drive my car with that thought in the back of my head. With all the work you are going to end up doing to go lower....you should do it with a little more meat. 215 on 9.75" wheel is a bit extreme. Those things have got to be crying everytime you turn the wheel with that much stretch.

IMO....you need a fatter tire with more camber, then go lower and do your fender rolls and pulls as needed. I think it would also help it look like its supposed to be on the car and not like you took it off of a 10-speed.

Just my .02

A 215 on that wide of a wheel looks like crap, and is downright scary when thinking of taking corners like you said. Purely a car for show, if that's the look you're into... Certainly not a car that is drivable in any practical way lol

I like both, meaty and stretched, but that's way too much!

To the 215/35 on the 9.75....

215/45 on that setup would've looked fine. 35 series? Why?

How about camber your ****ing wheels too so that you can run a 225/40 and have a safer fitting tire for a stretch? Camber doesn't eat your tires badly if your toe is fine and -3 all around is fun for cornering with the proper caster alignment

I can't believe a shop actually mounted those for him. It's dangerous.

I have xxr 527 on my bugeye. Size rim is 18x8.75.. I bought tires in the summer brand new which are 225/45/18. I didn't know I bought such big of a tire because I didn't at the time know about tire size generally. My question is, what size tire do I buy for my fitment 18x8.75 .. My bugeye is on Coilovers so I plan on lowering the front and raising the rear because I always have people in the car. I want a nice clean fitment with no camber, just for daily driving

Not to mention the fact that he could also kill himself or someone else in the process. I wouldn't drive on a road with those in a straight line.

Getting ready to sell my current setup and moving onto a whole new setup for next season. My XXR's have done quite well for me, no complaints here!
