Default quick up-pipe question

looking at up-pipes i've noticed that some have like 5 studs when I thought that mine was only 3, are the newer wrx's different from the older ones?

'Like' 5 studs? Or 5 studs?

Throw up a link to the uppipe you're referring to. There are only 3 bolts that matter, and those are the turbo bolts. The others are for the mounts if I'm not mistaken. It's been a while since I've been under there

There should be 5 studs on the top flange of the Up-Pipe, three of them bolt to the turbo, and the other 2 hold the up-pipe in place. You should get all 5 with any up-pipe that you get, though I have seen a couple that make you transfer studs from your OEM Up-Pipe to the new one, and that is a real pain.

Oh, and all 2002 - 2005 WRX Up-Pipes are the same. Though all the STI Up-Pipes, and later WRX's Up-Pipes do not have a pre-turbo cat FWIW.

Fitment wise, they haven't made any changes since the old turbo Legacy.
