Well mostly I need the most help on how I am to wiring this engine into my car. If anyone has do this swap could you help me out a lot and tell me the easy way to wiring it.

Would it be easy to get the whole harness uncut or just the engine part? The engine I am going to use is the jdm ej20t version 4

HELP!

A: wireing is differnt between models and years and even some times mid year
B: subarus have a intagrated harness it will require you to strip your stock harness and merge it with a stripped v.4 harness
C: if you find some good documentaion of a ver 3-4 let me know i have a repository of just about every thing else
D: you need the ENTIRE HARNESS UNDER THE DASH!

How hard is it intagrated the harness together!! Where could I get the full wireing harness from. I think that I am going to get my motor from tokyomotorimports which come with the engine part of the wireing harness only. Or should I order my engine from somewhere else.

Will my transmission that is in my car right now bolt right up to the ej20t or should I need get the transmission also. If I get a transmission will I have any more problems. Like the LSD..

I did the wiring on my V4 in about a day. Wasn't hard at all, but that's for me.

I used the pinouts on ravenblad, along with the JDM wiring diagram to solve a CEL.

I wound up taking out my dash and everything when I did it, but when I do my next swap I dont think you really have to, but it does make life easier.

Can anyone tell me the wirieng that I might have to slice. Or a web sit that could help on that.

somewhere else. you need the full harness and the ecu

-unless its very cheep a ver 3/4 long block is worth ...~1200-1500 a full clip w/ tranny should be in the 2.5k-3k range

yes it will work but your clutch will slip you will need to upgrade that at a minimum

wiring diagrams

basically you splice all wires from the JDM ECU into the USDM "incar" wires (such as tach, fuel pump, power, ground, temp, ect, ect). Everything that hooks to the JDM motor from the ecu, you leave alone and run though the firewall.

Honestly, do a search. There's already a ton of good info on here, yahoo, rs25.com, ect. That's how I got all my wiring info

lol but here's what you've got to look forward to:

That look like a lot of wire. About how many do you have to splice. Are they color to the same color when you have to spice them from my harness to the jdm harness

If I do us my old tranny, I still use a 1.8 clutch kit right ( sorry for the dumb ? but i am no share about that)

Does anyone have a good web sit to order my engine swap...?

depending on how good you are with electrical. it might take you months. or it might take you a day.
some wires are the same collor, some are diff. that is something you will have to find out as you are going thrue the wiring.

also, the stock tranny wont last you to long(you will be putting over 2X the power thrue it). when your are looking into getting an engine, look into a package deal that will come with a tranny/ front and rear axles/ rear diff/ brakes/ suspention.
its not smart to have an engine in a car that has 250+hp, and that handles like a boat and that cant stop.
do your suspention and brakes 1st before you do the swap.

I was just going to turbo the old engine but there are not that many performance part out for (like headers)!!! How long would my engine hold up with a turbo kit on it??????

But on the other hand would I be a hole lot easyer to swap in a 1995 JDM Subaru Impreza WRX GF8 Front Clip. It Powered by the 240hp EJ20-T Engine, and 5Sp AWD Transmission.

nope .. about the same
its less complicated than a usdm swap (less wires) but will still require splitting and merging the harnesses

anyone know about how many wires need to be spliced into in the U.S. in car wires? i am doing a similar swap and just trying to figure out how much time it will take. ive almost finished spliting up the wires and only saving the wires and connectors coming out of the jdm ecu. XENONSVX- where are the diagrams on that link you put there? i cant seem to find it. also, will i have to remove all the tape from the in car wiring like i did with the jdm harness? it seems like you did for your swap.

ok back to the wiring that I will have to do. Is it like my radiator main fan relays, inhibitor switch, check engine light, vehicle speed sensor, ignition switch, main relay, fuel pump relay, canister, purge control solenoid valve, two way valve, ficd solenold valve, idle air control solenoid valve, pressure regulator, fuel tank, fuel cut valve, fuel pump, fuel filter, air cleaner, mass air flow sensor, throttle position sensor, pvc valve, throttle opener, gas temp sensor, EGR solenoid valve, EGR valve, fuel injector, ignition coil, check valve, air suction solenoid valve, air suction valve, crankshaft positoin sensor, igniter, front cat converter, oxy sensor.

Is that right wiring that i will have to spice from my main harness to the jdm harness. Where could I get just the JDM wiring harness and wiring digram. thank
