Here is mine getting partially unburied. Enough to clear snow off of the car, infront of it and unbury the exhaust tips

Pretty sure I spun a bearing. Motor makes a racket and the oil pressure hovers around 30PSI driving, 40PSI peak and will dip below 5PSI at idle.

Car has been a mess of bad luck lately. I think its telling me something.

Im pricing out a hybrid build right now. My motor had 130k on it and I drove the car hard so I was definitely on borrowed time.

The most likely option Ill go with is a used 205, drop in and go. On a list of things I want to spend several thousand dollars on, my WRX is not in the top several thousand.

I have a 60k gearbox and the rest of the car is 130k and Im going to get nickel and dimed to death with a couple hundred here and a couple hundred there.

So theres always the option of putting the car back to stock and selling the stock car as is with a blown motor. Or very unlikely a full partout.

Let's be honest, will you ever put as much work into another car that you've put into the Bugeye? I'd be worried about seller's remorse.

New shortblock and machined heads

or

New/used longblock

or

forged internals using your current shortblock?

Theres definitely that lingering in the back of the head. Im just so over it though. Im just so over this car. Ive had it 4 and a half years and to be honest Im just bored of it.

Id rather willingly sell it then have it totaled or stolen and be out everything.

How can you turn it into something that you'd enjoy? Front end conversion? Nicer interior?

Built motor, driveline to support it, on and on and on. It'd snowball to $25k in no time.

After the accident, all I wanted the car to be was a reliable/cheap beater/DD. I didnt care that it was ugly and had mismatched body panels that didnt line up, etc. But if Im going to put money into it, I want it to be presentable.
