Default Video From My Day At Streets Of Willow

Just a short video.

I might post some more, with me passing some people, but this was one of the better laps.

Michael

P.S. Let me know what you think. I see where I made a couple of errors, but if you see something, let me know.

Thanx
Michael

Ya Spooled, it's definitely fun. Don't know if you havce been, but you should definitely try it out some time.

Thanx h2o.

Does anyone know if there is a place on line where I can find some times for the streets. I was wondering what kinda times are average, good, and bad.

Thanx
Michael

What was that hanging from your mirror?
Did I hear an instructor?
<1:45 is OK (stock motor, street tyres)
<1:40 good
<1:36 you should be driving professionally.

You can check out Speedventures for times @ Streets.

I really good time for the full course CW in a Subaru would probably been in the 1:30 range, depending on mods. If you look at results, there's a guy from Santa Barbara, who's running sub-1:30 times, but I've seen the car and it's nowhere near stock, so...

I'd say for a relatively stock car, 1:40-1:45's range is pretty solid.

Haven't done a track event yet, but I've autoxed numerous amounts of times. One of the most fun things I've ever done. I'm sure track racing is that x10. I'm planning on doing an event this summer.

Ya,

They require the windows to be open. Don't get to hear the engine so much. Too bad, I like the sound.

That lap was a 1:37 something (ya, the vid is 1:44. I was making fun of a friend, who normally does 1:44's on the street, and that shows that by the time he is hitting the spot where the video starts after his lap, I am already almost into turn 2)

The parking tag for the building was on the mirror, funny to watch it move back and forth.

Thanx
Michael

Mike,

Seems like you were driving pretty good. Only thing is you need to use to road a little more. Use every bit of the tarmac. Go veeery wide when exiting your line. Other wise good job!

I'll be there on the 18th... Look out for a PSM 02 wrx. w/ Dual DD muffler set up. I'll be on my slicks :-)

Ya, I noticed that in a couple of places. Hopefully I can drop my times a little on the 18th. We'll see. Thanx for the help.

I will definitely look for you. I drive the silver WRX, with Speedoptions sticker, and stock "looking" exhaust.

Alright, I tried to do some video editing, this was my first attempt, a little lame, but it was fun.

The quality isn't as good as the other one, because I wanted to keep the size down as much as possible.

Enjoy it. Look out for the white New style ALTIMA. He did some really stupid things (In my opinion) and was actually thrown out for what he did to me, and to several other faster drivers.

Later Guys, see you at the track.

Michael

Oooops. your right, it was an Altima. I will change that in my post, along wiht the myriad of other mistakes.

No, he didn't hit me, but it wasn't fun seeing him try and get around me on the left (I was by him, but I could tell he wasn't lifting comming into the esses, and I was off the line, so I started to slow down, but when he came across like that, I hit the brakes, not something you want to do in the esses) It looked like it in the video, but we didn't contact.

He ended up cutting several other faster cars off, most likely cause his ego got in the way of his thinking. They chucked his butt because of it. The rest if the day was a lot better after that.
