Since VW is discontinuing Golf Sportwagon and AllTrack, there may be deals to be had there as well.

If you buy that car look into buying a turbo control valve from ipd. That one little modification really woke up my car. I think the stock turbo control valve doesn't hold boost very well.

EDIT: the V90 looks pretty good too:

I often miss my old V70R wagon. It was decently quick, it looked cool, it was fun enough and I could fit SO MUCH STUFF IN IT. Like a hilarious amount of stuff. I could have easily lived in it if I had to

I hate higher CUVs and SUVs not only because of the way they look and their top-heaviness, but also because you can't see past them or around them. It's most annoying when they're parked beside you on both sides in a tight busy parking lot
The V60 is FWD only unless you get the $70k Polestar hybrid.

The V90 is bigger but has AWD available at non-astronomic prices (for a European luxury segment) and still looks killer.

Pretty sure I'm getting a V70R as soon as my Mustang sells.

Don't really buy what that article is selling.

I love wagons. Former Blob eye WRX wagon owner, grew up in a Legacy Wagon and an Accord Wagon before that.

We love our TSX Wagon and bought it simply because my wife wanted a car that handles like a car and all the SUV's we drove had at least one glaring flaw and they are pointless.

Also, my favorite wagon ever.....

The E34 5-series is my favorite body style period, and the wagon is GORGEOUS. I think we got the 530i but they are hard to find, usually you only find the 525i. Don't believe we got the 540i at all in a wagon.

No AWD isn't a deal breaker for me, especially if it's still a crappy haldex style setup. I live in a warm climate and TBH aside from hard launches I liked the way my R drove better once I yanked out the bevel gear & driveshaft and converted it to FWD. IIRC the old 850R & T-5R were also FWD for a while.

This is my V90CC. I had a 2015 V60 R-Design with a polestar tune and it made a great sleeper that I could toss my dog in the back of. But I needed more space for 2 kids and 2 dogs. So I traded it in for the V90. The engine sucks. It's slow, laggy, jumps all over, and just doesn't perform like the old 3.0 I6 with a twin scroll. I wish it still had that motor.

But back to wagons, I just love them because they're not the norm. Everyone has a minivan or suv, my V90CC and get through the same snow and junk they can and I get better mpg. Can't beat it really.

Is it a T5 or T6? I thought the XC90 T6 drove ok. Just a bit louder than I was expecting.

T6 with a polestar tune. The engine in the V60 was probably the best engine I've ever driven for a daily. It was a smooth fast. Not quick, but fast. I miss it every day. lol
