Smile Goin to Flagstaff..

This Weekend! Any one know of any nice roads or areas to drive the suby? Gonna be there all weekend and its supposed to snow. wanna have some fun in the rex! Let me know if you know of anything. please? and also if there is anywhere to go or any place that anyone recommends for fun?

^You just missed out on a pretty gnarly cruise this past Sunday! Flagstaff is a pretty layed back town and all the members here a pretty friendly, go here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...243287&page=14 check here regarding any meets or cruises, but I don't think anything is set up for this weekend...yet!

i was up there friday. took the kiddo sledding to wing mtn. play area(just past snobowl)...goddamn was it cold!!!!

Ha shoulda felt the wind and cold Christmas morning!

When I started my car the oil temp gauge was flashing red alerting me the oil was wayyy to cold, and the car wouldnt even go into gear!

So what should i expect up in flag this weekend? how is my car gonna run? i havent had it in that cold of weather before? any tips? lol.

^ if you're on the stock potenza's i'd be careful, I havnt driven them in the snow but I know on christmas i took a turn a little quicker than normal and my whole ass end slid around. Thank god i knew how to get out of it otherwise my car would of been on top of the median lol.

make sure your battery is in good working order. cold and elevation can make for hard starts.

just got back from snowboarding at snow bowl! Buddy's car started up just fine But we could not find any twisty roads Probably because we didn't look hard enough!

I was up in Flag last winter messing around trying to find open parking lots to slide around in.... the best I found was a lot south of NAU on the east side of the highway. I thought for sure the campus security would come hassle me but they drove right by. I probably spent over an hour there practicing my drift!

Im Running the Chevron Delo 15w40 oil. you think that will be ok? its pretty thick. im not sure how it will do in the cold weather.

You want the car to warm up for awhile before you start driving around with that thick of oil. If you can I would change it before you go.

I was running 10w40 and the car was not happy with me when I first started it.

Well im leaving right after work so i dont really have time to change it. Dammit! lol. Im gonna have to just let it run for a little bit b4 i drive it i guess. im sure ill want to warm the inside of the car up before i drive around neway.

Im up in flag now and having some fun! i am impressed on how my car handled in the snow. it was pretty sweet! Got a few pics and a little video! the car was a little rough starting up and wen i poppd the hood one of my fuel lines was loose and leaking! so i tightened it and its all good now!! gonna do a little more driving! nething going on up here flagstaff guys???
