If this is in the wrong spot, please let me know and I'll re-post. I know this is usually for sales/service, but I just want to let everyone know the Parts Dept @ Liberty took care of me very well. I understand that dealers need to make money but I didn't want to get creamed either. Said they would do their best, and they did ! They came within a $1 or so of what I found online, and I was able to support a local business.

I recently bought a car from liberty Subaru, and there sales and finance manager were complete dicks. Seriously do not give these people your business. I went there with an autodraft from my bank, that says it's worth up to 25k and they would not let me leave with the car. I'm from Pennsylvania so that was a 3 hour ride for nothing. Serious ********. Now you will lol but I ended up with a great deal on a car but just very in professional people.

We bought two Outbacks from Liberty Subaru, the last was a 2011. We did not have any issues (back then) with the purchase process. We just had to say "No" a few times as they offered every stupid money grabbing additional cost items or processes.
The service department was always professional. We never had major work done but the two Outbacks and my 2005 Saab 9-2X Aero (2005 WRX) were maintained without any service gimmicks or tricks (that I knew of). The Middletown Honda service area were out-and-out crooks, but that's for a different forum. If you buy a car from them, you get a discount on any parts purchases. They gave me that discount on parts for the Saabaru because we had the Outback from them. Their sales staff didn't change rapidly, which is SOMETIMES an indication of a dealer that doesn't fire salesmen for not using "aggressive" tactics to meet sales goals. I once complained to a Toyota dealer principal (owner) about the BS tactics of his sales staff. Nothing happened, of course. But crooks will be crooks - that salesman was later indicted at a different dealer because he was involved in a scheme to defraud the dealership by selling cars to people with fake documentation, who then vanished. I think the cars (Jeeps) were being shipped to Eastern Europe from Port Newark. What goes around, comes around. Last edited by RS191; 08-24-2015 at 09:16 PM. Reason: added text "Toyota dealer" |

Used service twice. I have a 2011 wrx hatch. First time my front passenger wheel well liner got destroyed by my tire don't know how. They had the part stocked I went the next day was in and out within the hour.
Second time was today actually I was removing my wheel when the stud broke. They fixed it quick too. When I took it I went to remove the wheel in the lot and another one seem to be stuck. Before breaking it I took it back and they changed that one and checked the rest free of charge. I have 0 complaints with liberty. |

I just had a bad experience there. They showed 0 professionalism from what I saw. Really it was just the head sales guy and the finance guy. After it was all said and done they did my paper work wrong which created a loan that was for the improper amount.

Sorry for the bad experience, i went through **** as well thru liberty they screwed me over, a lot of my friends got screwed as well when we bought our cars. I wish i bought at Ramsey subaru because i decided to never step foot back at liberty, ramsey's service department is mod friendly so that definitely helps, I'm glad because they are one out of two that are mod friendly. just have to deal with the right service advisor. he is called the wrx/ STI specialist. the deed is done i got screwed during the sale at liberty but much better service at ramsey.
