We have our 7" double-din unit available for the GR STI... the tricky part with trying to make a 10.1" fit in an 08-14 is the center located vents in the dashboard. We haven't quite cracked how we might address those yet

maybe i misunderstood this, but with a stock 15+ wrx, would you be able to tell air pressure in each tire? or is that just with an air system

We haven't dug into the research on the 15+ quite yet to understand how it is pulling the readings from the tire's air pressure sensors. So it's hard to say right now exactly how/if we'll be able to read the PSI right with our existing circuitry or require some special electronics.

Check it out! We're working closely with Beastronix Racing to integrate their 86Nanny product with Brainiac. A little something for the FR-S/BRZ/GT86 owners

We're continuing to revise and perfect the plastics for the FRS/BRZ. More updates around the hazard button relocation will be coming soon, but for now here are some details on the upper plastic trim revisions.

You can see the raised ridge that we've created on both ends of the top plastics to provide a visual separation between the Brainiac trim and the passenger trim.

Check out a bunch of photos of the latest test print of the FRS/BRZ lower pocket hazard switch relocation plastics in our latest blog post! Again this is a test 3D print using silver filament which hasn't yet been smoothed and color matched to the pocket.

The same trim piece is used for both the push-to-start and regular pocket and is included in our snap-in kit.

We've been asked quite a bit about T-shirts and other swag, well now you can get your hands on some different Brainiac logo designs in lots of different swag options.

Check out our "Swag Store" for more details

Unfortunately Workshop 12 will not be able to secure funding to manufacture Brainiac units. At this point we will be cancelling all existing preoders for the product. To be clear there will be no charges against any orders and those who have preordered will be receiving email cancellation notices.

More information can be found here: https://workshoptwelve.com/2016/04/1...ange-of-plans/

This also means that we will unfortunately not be able to build out our dealer and distributor network as planned. You won't find anyone more disappointed than us about not being able to bring a packaged Brainiac solution to market. We want to thank everyone who supported us through this journey, your support has meant more to us than you'll ever know.

Sincerely,

Tim Neil and Rob Williams
Co-Founders of Workshop 12

That's really unfortunate. I know this is probably a huge disappointment on your end, but hope your future efforts are more successful...

I would be lying if I didn't say I was pissed off about this, because I am! That's here nor there. Here's my question, how much would it take to make one off kits like the one currently in the grey bugeye?

We decided to post up the 3D models on Shapeways so that you can print out a set of plastics for your car that hold a tablet (Galaxy Tab 4 10.1") in your dash.

Figured we would give back as much of our knowledge and our designs as possible to the community so that you can build some cool stuff in your own car.

350Z and WRX plastics available, FRS/BRZ we're still trying to see what can be done for electronics for the Climate Control.

Glad this is still going somewhere. I'd buy plastics for my WRX and BRZ, but probably not until there's a definite climate control solution.

How had I not seen this until now?!! I've been looking into the Android tablet installs and they all seem so hacked. I'd love to have a more refined Android system for in car.

It's really cool that you guys shared all of your work: CAD (lots of surfacing work) and time collecting and post processing the scans.

Sorry to hear that things didn't work out.

Awesome to see you guys share your valuable information with the community, I really wanted to get this after seeing your work. Think I'll have to look at retrofitting my climate control to my glove box, definitely would update the 05-07 interior.

Yeah, for now I'm running without and HVAC controls in my Scooby... but I hope to change that up and control it via Arduino.. We just need time to reverse engineer that sucker!
