Its been a really long week of prep work including an entire new livery.

Car drives great now after an alignment , -3.1 Degrees camber front and -2.1 Degrees rear should be a great place to start. The car now has full interior and is 100% Street class legal for time attack. Just needs an oil change and coolant flush then its off to Gingerman Raceway this week !

Oh and we did a little 2001 Tommi Makkinen throwback livery

Thanks for that.

But, What about the inner stub? 02 axle should have a female receptacle to recieve the a spindle from the transmission and 06 should be opposite with a spindle on the end of the axle and female port in the transmission, were you able to convert?

Are you talking about the fronts ?

I run the Early style front axles with the 5x114 ABS tone rings

I can't express on words how much I like your car but that livery does not work at all for me.

You should do a longer video of your car or please post an incar of the Time Attack!

Gridlife was pretty crazy. It rained for two days but was amazing for the other two.

Car drove great and I would have broken my personal best but got stuck in traffic , My codriver however drove the car to a 1:45 which is faster than my 1:48 I did last year.

Improvements that must be made are mostly cooling related as oil temps hit 250f in some sessions , We suspect that the thermostat is broken so I will be ordering another one and also inspecting the PCV system as it smokes on startup a little bit now and we probably pushed the PCV system too hard.

I might also switch to some custom built Fortune Auto shocks or have my Ohlins rebuilt for more spring.

Here are a bunch of pictures

I guess you are talking to me. No idea what Q is and there is no hate in my words. It’s a public forum, I can like or dislike, you can agree or disagree. It’s all good pal.

I suspect my high oil temperatures were due to a thermostat failure so I ordered a replacement and a spare AVCS solenoid. Going to install it with a new radiator before the next track day at the end of August.

Some behind the scenes stuff from a Photoshoot with the guys from M45 in Ann Arbor , It was a great experience. They will have a full feature on my car coming in the near future.

So here we go again another change in direction

Over the next few years I am going to start working towards a complete RA-R wagon conversion which might even involve a Hawkeye front end conversion if I get bored with the Bugeye look.

The reason for this is that I want a car that is easy to drive , comfortable and also track worthy. If all that sounds absolutely idiotic it is because it is , But I think it can be done. I really miss driving the car all over the place , I put over 65k miles on it in about two years and I want to bump it over 200k on the chassis in the near future.

Goals for 2019

Summer Daily driver
Travel around the country
Experience more tracks

2018 - 2019 plans

Engine and Drivetrail

Fix AC
Flexfuel tuning
Quieter exhaust or elimination of highway drone
STi RA-R / S204 DCCD 6mt
Stock clutch
Balanced flywheel
CSF Radiator

Suspension , wheel and Brakes

Rebuild or upgrade coilovers , Possibly with the new RCE Superstreet line
Try to source 6 piston STi brakes
PFC 2 piece rotors to match the brakes
removable brake ducting
Another set of RA-R wheels with NT01 or R comp tires
Refinish RA-R track wheels gold
Ceramic coat white wheels ( If I keep a set white )

TLDR

Getting buried in my Wrx so I might as well drive the **** out of it

Unfortunately I won't be making Gridlife South due to being sent to Pebble Beach concours for work to support Ferrari which is even more awesome.

Hopefully get some time to take pictures of the historical race cars there and everything else in between.

If you want to follow along I am on instagram @JN_Garage
