I'm sure that scott guy is just trolling. It's a shame he did it on a friends thread. Way to derail your "good friends" thread with your BS. Seriously though Scrappy, either you're in on the troll, or you need to pick better friends. =\

I always find it cute when I am called a troll by somebody with a member number of 313217...

Look newb, I do not pretend I am a perfect poster on NASIOC, I have derailed many a thread on accident in my years at NASIOC. Uncle Scotty has been around a LONG time, let me be the judge who I deem a NASIOC buddy. Do not worry yourself over it.

I would like to get this thread back on topic though.

Does VW do the same deal like Audi with STaSIS tuning? If I'm not mistaken, its factory backed tuning done through the dealer.. I believe keeping warranty issues "clear" for the engine if problems do arise later on.

That is one sexy looking car. It really is. Plus, I don't think any of us can argue the Subaru interiors are throw-aways. I didn't buy my WRX for the interior. It blows. In the end, you see and experience the interior way more than any other part of the car. I'd kill for the same performance in a far nicer package. Maybe I'm getting old.

Tons of people screw off in my classes but then go home and study four hours a day minimum and pass the exams. If you don't need to pay attention in class to do well then why do it?

It takes a LOT of work and a LOT of smarts to get into med school. The people in med school got there because they are driven individuals. Each and every single one is going to study a huge amount because they have spent most of their lives just trying to get in.

To put into perspective how selective med schools are: my school had 7,400 applications last year. Class size? 144. Keeping in mind most that apply to med school are already of above-average intelligence and you can start to grasp the caliber of those admitted.

The unfortunate truth of med school lectures is they generally suck. The lecturers are really just researchers who might give four lectures a year. They make power points and then just say exactly what's on the slides. The power points are put online afterwards so you don't really need to listen. A lecturer might say one or two extra things during an hour lecture, which is why people go.

i completely disagree. i don't think it blows. yeah, there's a lot of plastic, but it's not terrible at all. it's actually easy to maintain.

i have the wrx limited with leather seats and oem blue accent light. the trim on the wheel to the leather embroidered wrx symbol, gauges, the interior of the wrx has improved over the years.

my friend has a gti and his interior is nice but has some issues with some parts falling a part and some rattles over the years. plus he thinks the wrx leather looks better than the plaid seats he has.

take care of you're interior, grab some protectant for your leather and trim, and the wrx looks great.

The WRX interior definitely has improved. Coming from an 07 to a 2011, the difference was pretty huge. That been said, when comparing to different cars within its class, the interior is on the lower end.

Interior is definitely near the bottom, but all that plastic holds up real well overtime. Coming up on 10 years with by subie and interior looks like it did when I got it. All original, only thing that as a little wear is the drivers seat, but it got the most use. A little shampoo and vacuum could make it nice again.

The problem is in my case (and my friends) everyone who has owned a VW has had more problem than most other car brands, especially the Japanese brands. And even my friends who love their VW's happily overlook major problems.

Of course every car has its problems. But VW has screwed over me and my friends way more than the other brands. Except Audi... oh wait...

Man, I've owned 2 VWs and I loved them. The truth is that those cars do have a lot of problems. In my case it was a bunch of small annoying stuff that was easily fixed. The VWs tend to be very annoying to deal with mechanically. I had far more problems with the VR6 than the NA 2.0.

I don't live in Canada. We see maybe 12" of snow here/year. AWD doesn't make sense to me either. Even more so when you live somewhere that's 70 degrees in the dead of winter.

NOPE! DERAILED!

hahahaha, keep your epeen in your pants kid, nobody wants to see that. See this is what I get for trying to sugar coat things. I don't think it matters how long Scotty's been on here, he's still a moron. I respect the fact that you're sticking up for your "buddy", but it doesn't change the fact that he's dumb. I can see why you two are "NASIOC buddies", hahhahahah.

Honestly, you were probably in diapers when I had my first Subaru. I respect Scotty and Scrappy's opinion much more than some 300k delta bravo with a brand new Subaru.

Go **** yourself on a door of dicks. kthnxbye.

Seems like you only keep cars for a couple years (8 Subarus since 2000). So it doesn't really matter what you buy as you'll only have to live with it for a year or 2.

Golf R never really made sense to me. Paying a huge premium for a car which drives like a FWD car with a crappy AWD system tacked on. I think a base model WRX is a better choice if you are into actually driving, if you just like nice interiors and high quality paint there are far better choices beyond VW.

Have fun with your brand new car, that the only thing that matter, screw everyone else. Nothing beat a new car feel.

The best car is the one you pick.

In my case, the r wasn't available, and I did not trust the reliability of the gti but the real deal breaker for me is the lack of trunk space. I like small car, but this trunk is too small for my need. Also, I did not trust the vw dealer close to me. The wrx hatch was a better choice for me, and not regretting it.

Btw, for all those hater, awd is not a requirement, even in snow. Just be a better driver. Awd is a personal choice, and more fun in tough weather.

Congrats on the new car scrappy! I'm also looking into a VW, probably will go gti if I do.

But seriously, why defend Scotty? His opinions and posts are a detriment to this forum regardless of his time in. I'm mean dooooooooood, is he actually serious?

Who are you? What is this supposed to mean? That you've been alive longer? That you have more experience with these cars? That you're some middle aged dumbass? So what? All those extra years on this Earth, and you're still trash. Must feel good. What a waste of life...
