Angry Clutch noise, did a search...

...and I found some things that hit close to home, but not quite. Here's the prob...

When I put the clutch to the floor, there is no noise whatsoever. But when I let the clutch out, trans in neutral, there is a LOUD rattling/clicking noise.

I talked to one of my friends who is a ASE cert, and he said that it could be the throw-out bearing.

Upon the search, I found that I may just have to lubricate the bearing. Or, should I just call the dealer? It's still under warranty for another 18k. Help friends!!!

It is most likely the throw-out bearing. I would take it to the dealer and try to get them to replace it. If the car is under warranty I wouldn't want to settle for greasing it.

Mine is doing the same thing - the sad thing is that I noticed it after my tranny rebuild and didn't get it replaced when they did it.

They said it sounds like the throw out bearing.

Yeah, that must be what my WRX's problem is. When the clutch is at any posistion other than all the way out, no noise or rattle, but when all the way out regardless of in gear or not make a racket.
I will bring that up to them, heck the car only has 1100 miles on it, started making that noise about 700 ago.
thanks folks
