Default Factory turbocharged 2.5L on near horizon?

Apparently FHI engineers already have a turbocharged version of the 2.5L engine just sitting on the shelf, waiting for an appropriate application. The attached clipping is from an Australian car industry newsletter dated July 3, 2002. The full newsletter can be viewed at:

I still like the boxer...even though the 2.5 is mighty appealing!

Ehh... okay I'm confused.

Did you mean "Boxster," as in Porsche?

Or boxer as in engine type? Because both the 2.0 and 2.5 engines are boxer-type. That's all Subaru uses.

You might want to wait just a little longer, because the above car will soon be offered in this version:

Skyline GT-R concept from 2002 NA Int. Auto Show. Most likely 2turbo V6 or a V8 with all wheel drive, all wheel steering, electronic everything. Probably $50,000+ and will most likely be sold as an Infiniti.

I am not sure about the US, but that actually isn't a skyline anymore. The skyline became a family sports sedan, and now that is just GT-R. Renault has been changing a bunch of stuff, and this would be one of the changes. I would go for the turbo Stagea given the chance, but I am sure it will never come to the US

Default You got it BigElm...

Those G35 coupes (and even the sedans) are some badazz looking (and performing cars).
But the Skyline will most likely be in the 70 g's range, at least one worth owning.
