Are oil filters 15208AA12A and/or 15208AA15A ok for use on an '09 Impreza non-turbo?

You have an EJ engine use ONLY the 15208AA12A.
DO NOT use 15208AA15A which is for FA/FB engines.

Sounds good. Is the issue with using a 15A in an EJ related to the drainback valve?
