Thumbs down Mobil 1 gear oil sucks...now what?

So i changed my trans fluid this weekend and put some mobil 1 synthetic oil in(75w 90). 1st gear is very hard to get into without grinding. Also the shift from 1st to 2nd takes some muscle.
So, i want to chage it out and im not sure where to go now. I have heard great things about redline's trans fluid, but im not sure which one to get. I have heard that the gl-5 oil that does not contain the friction modifiers is the way to go. This type of fluid:

I was also reading unabomber's FAQ on something and noticed at the bottom that he has a listing of everything in his car. He uses lightweight shockproof trans fluid, and swears it is the best. This type of fluid:

So bottom line, i need to change this mobil 1 crap out and get some good stuff in there before i burn out the syncros. What would you suggest? Thanks

Two most popular:

Uncle Scotty's Cocktail
100% lightweight shockproof

Uncle Scotty's is much cheaper though, so go with it.

The other consideration is the milage on your car. If you're still in the powertrain warranty, you need that all important trail of receipts showing you bought 75w90 GL5. Right now, to eliminate arguments with the dealer, I'm running Redline 75w90NS in the tranny and Redline 75w90 in the rear diff. It is an interesting change from stock. The gear lever is MUCH easier to move, especially on cold mornings. The OE fill was actually kind of hard to deal with in the winter. The downside is that you can really feel what the inside of your box is machined like, and let me tell you, it's not pretty. Notchy doesn't even begin to describe it. Also, if you're a drag racer used to slamming the stick from one gear to the next, you will be unhappy. There's definitly less friction for the synchros to work with. However, if you use proper shifting technique, the box shifts fast and easy. I'm not sure how this works, but it definitly feels better when you're pressing on and really working the box than when you're just puttering down the high street.

Am I happy with it? Yeah, I guess so. It works adaquately and shifts easier when cold. Will I continue to run it when my warranty is up? No, I'll switch to the Cocktail I think.

Conclusion: The Redline synths listed above work well enough and meet warranty requirements. If you're under warranty, I recommend them. If you're not under warranty, try them, and try the cocktail too.

I use lightweight shockproof. To tell you the truth I expected great things based off of others' testimonies but I didn't notice any difference..
